I am 63 and have multiple comorbidities associated with lifelong diabetes including peripheral neuropathy and vision problems from retinopathy as well as rheumatoid arthritis and PTSD. The short version of how marijuana helps me- I mostly use it in the evening to mitigate pain from peripheral neuropathy and rheumatoid arthritis, also to mitigate anxiety and depression. On the subject of anxiety I mostly avoid sativa dominant strains. I find that Indica dominant strains work well with the medications I use for sleep, which consists of the antihistamine Vistaril and melatonin. I try to avoid the heavy pain and sleep meds because they have an adverse effect on what little cognitive ability I have left. Out of curiosity have you tried any of the portable dry herb vaporizers? Dry herb vaporizers are all I use now. I get a lot more mileage out of my herb.
