Obv there's poor people in South Africa and slums area's but that's ignorant people or on drugs. Every country has those types but South Africa is beautiful.

Please address the fact that many men wear infidelity as a badge of honor among themselves...
They don't just work for you, they have multiple clients. "Domestic workers" can work for a company or for themselves. They aren't disrespected or treated poorly. And if they are, then they don't have to work for that asshole. Simple as that. Things aren't as corporate here.

Only if she contributed. A cheating, financially irresponsible woman. 28 years with the enemy. My truth.
As an African American, we have to tread lightly in South Africa. We are guests. I don’t want us to start being too vocal and attract negative attention to us. Especially because it could come off as condescending. Next time, it maybe better to invite South Africans into the conversation, when talking about SA culture.

🔥African American billionaires nearly all made their money through stereotypical sports and entertainment while African Billionaires in Africa not one made their money this way. They made their money through energy, agriculture, and other business sectors, which are critical to the world's survival. You will also see this in how European American billionaires made their money, most made it not in the entertainment sectors, but in STEM sectors.. Why is this important? It sets the culture in the African American community to aim for less beneficial professions, while African children are selling drinks on the side of a road at 9, hoping one day to become an owner of a large brewing business, our children are hoping to make it big in entertainment/sports, because they see others African American superstars make it that way. We African Americans have to change our culture by challenging racism / inferior mindsets away from this either make in sports/entertainment or go home, to pushing/creating business minded young people desiring to be owners of Big Tech / Car brand creators/ Pharma over being basketball/ football stars. The richest [blok] American 11.4 Billion USD is in the Tech industry not throwing basket or foot balls! A strong mind is better than a strong arm ! We have a trillion plus dollars in buying power, but don't own a single brand in the top 100 brands in America. Its 2024, there are no vehicle manufacturing companies owned or created by a single African American, but there are Innoson Motors in Nigeria / Kiira Motors In Uganda, Dangote of Nigeria is the richest [blok] person in the world with 27.9 bIllion USD!
Beautiful Studio! Love the conversation you have a beautiful chemistry with Doc maybe you should have a series. I see lot of my South Africans up in arms but unfortunately we also have trauma that most South Africans see slavery as normal I always say black middle class South Africans want to replace the oppressor not get rid of oppresive systems. Having a full-time helper shouldn't be normal in SA because most people cannot afford, but they can because of cheap labour. No one can build a life with R4, 412.80 which mostly go to illegal foreigners from Zimbabwe & Lesotho anyway because they get even more exploited, no overtime or proper 8 hour working hours. White people & Indians don't do such jobs that should tell you about the apartheid hierarchy that still exists. This country was built on cheap labour it is sad to continue to see black South Africans still think it is ok! We still have a long way to go. Yes someone still needs to do the job but should be living wage not minimum wage!
I love this! He said we are Africans before we are Americans and Every Black man needs a piece of land in Africa! Facts!!!
I really am not sure what the issue is...why are people so triggered by this? Please help me understand
As an African American I SEE SO MUCH OF MYSELF IN YOU MS SBU!!!! I share the same sentiments and frustrations with my experiences in Ghana! It reminds me of a New Yorker travelling to Mississippi and the frustrations of a New York with the mentality of those living in the rural South! 😂😂Enjoyed this discussion!!! Healthy Black family debate
An "African" is defined as A person with a Biological, genetic and Ancestral CONNECTION to one of the indigenous Black (Negroid) tribal groups of Africa! Our connection to "African" has NOTHING to do with cultural expression ...A Chinese person speaking Zulu and practicing Zulu traditions doesnt make him African.... just like a Man wearing a Wig and skirt doesnt make him a Woman. OUR BIOLOGICAL and ANCESTRAL tie to Africa is what categorizes us as African. Black American must establish our steak in Africa. Refusing to claim our African Identify means we empower the White man's agenda he implemented in stripping us of our identity during the slave trade. We are MORE than "American" we have THOUSANDS of years of history in Africa we are connected to...and we must take ownership of it. Lastly: he spoke on us not having citizenship...Reality is African countries are dominanted by WHITE EUROPEANS who place Black puppet in office. Government systems were never intended to empower Global Black collaboration!! We must build it for ourselves. I need to be on your show!!! 😂
As a socio cultural Anthropologist who studies these issues, id love to speak with and share my perspectives on this
Black Americans ARE AFRICAN. Haitians ARE AFRICAN. Jamaicans ARE AFRICAN ... not because we were born in Africa but because our geological and biological connection to Africa. A Black child adopted and raised by a White family doesnt make him any less part of the Black family that gave him up for adoption...His biological connection makes him part of the family IRREGARDLESS of where he lives or was raised.
PLEASE Invite Dr Umar Johnson or another conscious Pan african brother to speak on this topic ....This guy doesnt reflect the "Pan African global" spirit you have

👀
African Americans are not "foreigners" in Africa...we were stolen from Africa.....Asian Americans are not "foreigners" in Asia....they maintain their steak in Asia. We must claim our "African" identity and take. ownership of it. Verbage is important. Dr Umar Johnson would have been a BETTER guest to have this conversation in my opinion....Please invite a "Pan African/Conscious" brother to speak on these issues...
I agree! African Americans dont have "culture" because we were stripped from our African traditions (language/foods) during slave trade. Its not our fault, we were sold off by our OWN African tribal groups ...
I'm an African American, and excited to learn more of us moving back to Africa! I live in Ghana part time. Most African Americans gravitate to West Africa and pleased to learn we're exploring South Africa! I'll be there soon! I've been watching South African movies and impressed with what I see!
I'm African American and can't wait to travel to South Africa! I'm looking to do business in Johannesburg/Soweto
This is the same issues we face in America - African Americans are being replaced by illegal immigrants from Mexico and suppress the wages
I couldn't join the live coz I got back late from work but I played it back. I think you have to get used to the fact that South Africans are not afraid of having difficult conversations. The difference is we do all that respectfully without needing to outsmart each other or winning an argument. Sometimes it can get to a point where we agree to disagree and move on. There is no need to be defensive about anything you said. You consciously chose to use the word trigger in your title/ thumbnai for reasons known to you only and possibly I dare say as clickbait. So for you to want to flip the script over and make it look like it's our fault for responding because we are drawn to negativity is disingenuous. You said we rushed onto your platform to question your opinion. As soon as you posted your video, it became public and as a South African I take interest on issues about our country so I believe I also have the right to comment especially when I notice that there is some misinformation that needs to be corrected. Yes we don't know you that's why we engage openly so we can learn from and understand each other. If you are not comfortable with people commenting on your videos then don't post or only circulate them amongst your circle. None is trying to stifle you but you have to stand by what you say without making it look like we are the ones who don't understand English. You did say" these people don't have dreams", you did say "they are timid" and you did say "they are very shifty". If those phrases have other meanings other than the literal one please educate us. Also I watched that video twice before commenting and before commenting on this one I went back to the 1st one in case there was anything I missed so I don't think you should dismiss people who took the time to watch your video and comment with a one liner saying their comments are based on a clip they didn't watch the full video. A lot of people raised different issues, so are you trying to say all those things were articulated in one clip? That comes across as someone who is not ready to accept that since you just came into our country there is a lot you don't know about us and our culture and that has nothing to do with your level of education or capacity to analyse, it's simply too soon to grasp some issues coz they are deeper than what they seem at surface level. The issue about eye contact is a simple example, fair enough you accepted that none has ever told you about it but have you ever asked a South African about it before making conclusions? Also sometimes it's not what one says but it's how they say it and I know you know that communication is made up of more than only the spoken word. The body language, tone and gestures when some things are said convey a lot more than what was expressed verbally.
Hopefully, you can make it to the next live
Great video! There are very important conversations to have if we are committed to bridging the gap
Thank you, about time someone said it.
HELLO, thank you for the information. LOL !
These women are not giving up social media. That is their rebound and cheating tool. They care much more about being able to find other men and attention.Never take them seriously if they are moving like that. They are disgusting for that fr.
I think some of the pushback you may see from South Africans towards Americans is what we perceive from a lot of Americans as a superiority complex and a disrespect of our culture and the way we do things. Now some of us who've watched you for a while know you and your heart bit unfortunately you'll suffer the blowback which is directed to anyone who seems to be talking down how we do things. We are always happy to receive knowledge and criticism but not when it comes from a point of priviledge. But thank you for doing this live, such conversations will as you say, bridge the gap.
When in Rome do as the Romans, (some) African cultures do not have the ability to think more of themselves. (Sometimes) the American entrepreneural/innovative spirit can do more harm than good because they're not ready. God will send those who are ready for advancement in whatever capacity. Until then, be kind, humble and live your life.
Woow that’s very nice of you 10% you really blessed her 😊
You should always tip cash in South Africa. It’s a lot easier for both sides.
@BenevolentDictator13 that's alot of bills to carry around🤔
Thank you Mam and your family to relocate in our country ❤️🇿🇦❤️, we are very much appreciate people like you who are changing the narrative about us in the continent, may God continue to bless you in abundance ngeGama leNkosi u Jesu Kristu oyiNkosi yaPhakade, Amen.
What?! Did you see his video of him at Chris Brown concert? He was basically dry humping a young girl, he not serious for any type of real relationship. Its in his newest comments. American woman see right through that, thats probably why hes not successful in relationships over here. Great to show the world, but in reality its using woman as clickbait in the thumbnails, asking his viewers for money all in his descriptions, and not being a good example of a man. He also a girl dad thats very scary. Very manipulative
I think that is what is called caltural difference, maybe what could just be where you guide how you give your input, unfortunately all of us have different way of living. Maybe the lady may have been ilinfluenced how we do things how we do anything due to environment.
🤔
Theres a type of black american that the continent hates. And this right here is a great example. Demeaning, disrespectful... why not just kindly go back home???
I thought I was the only person that seen that picture of a white baby being nursed by a black woman I remember that picture.
Once you put the money in her hand and show her what she's made from starting this business she'll get it right now she doesn't get it. You have to give her a jump start like you give a car. I do know that watching some of the movies in Africa or based in Africa they do have some people who owned businesses like Merry maids it's just only concentrated in certain areas. Having a maid service also forces the clients to respect your maids a lot of these maids and housekeepers are very disrespected. Meaning places where they go to do work they actually treat them like children slapping them hitting them. You should show her how and what she should charge so that the maids she hires aren't working for little or nothing.
🤔
