For the records. Egedege is the dance of the water goddess(mammy water). It is believed that in her queendom, female takes dominance - therefore both male and female are seen as same. hence reason why males act as females cause they are believed to be possessed by the goddess. When Egedege first came to limelight, it was termed satanic by the church and was banned in Igbo land. after some years of lobbying, the ban was lifted.
