One of the brilliant things about this track is that the drums, while in the background and not as emphasized as the other instruments, is easily the one doing the most work. When I imagine this song in my head, I tend to follow the clarinet and saxophones. Then you pay attention to the drumming, and you realize how much subtle filler there is. It's so far from the mic that it's difficult to hear every detail. Awesome work!

Hey, thanks for your constructive comment! It was the first time I had to play a swing pattern, so yeah I was filling it intensely. By the way the ride is a Sabian Artisan 22'', the crash is a Paiste 2002 19'' and the hi-hats are Zildjian Amir 14''.

what are those cymbals and especially that lead ride ? Nicely done with the calypso, i personnally think you were a bit too much filling with the snare when the the swing ride pattern comes in but i ain't never fully satisfied so meh D:
