Feeding a snake the first day isn't really the best. Especially a food item that's too large which is also wet so it gets caked in substrate.
Little love snek boites 😊❤
🙏🏾
I have a baby boa constrictor and I wanna a Mexican king snake🙃I'm excited ᕕ(՞ᗜ՞)ᕗ
I got one a couple days ago from a reptile expo, and he is so calm. Maybe it’s because he is used to being held, but he didn’t try to bite me at all, and he’s super chill when I pick him up. I should be feeding him soon for the very first time!
I just got one from Repticon a couple of days ago too lol
I got my Mexican Black Kingsnake at a reptile expo in Schaumburg, Illinois, and she was pretty chill being held both at home and at the expo center. Just depends on conditions like snake temperament and whether it was held by the breeder a lot.
Omg I’m getting one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s the love bite. Mine bit me day one
I just got my female from them 😂
She did the same thing
Snakes have this cool thing called a defense mechanism where if they feel threatened the use the only thing on their body that could possibly defend themselves by biting whatever they feel threatened by in short don't feed them right out of the box make sure you do your research before getting a snake and I don't mean watching UA-cam
Frick dude that frickin cool
Did this guy die? Bro has only 4 vids and just gave up
Brother try to not leave your address in your videos
This video is literally exactly what not to do when you get a new snake. You should have an enclosure set up prior to getting your new snake. I can’t imagine not having hides available if I knew I was picking up a snake. King snakes do borrow and they will use several inches of substrate. You should NEVER feed a snake the day it arrives to you you need to give it several days to rest or there’s a high chance of regurgitation. I am begging anyone who happens to see this comment who is getting a snake for the first time this is not the way to do it. Have your enclosure set up in advance so you can regulate the temps for several days and know that your husbandry is on point. Don’t even dream of getting a snake without having an enclosure ready, bare minimum with at least two hides one on the warm side and one on the cool side. The fact that he didn’t even put a toilet paper roll in there to give the Snake something to hide in says a lot.
Also don't give it wet food so it gets caked in substrate before he eats it.
food was way to big also
So cool! I have too much respect for snakes as a highly forgetful and easily distracted person lol Thanks for this :)
Well that's annoying the biting
Your not so-posed to use sand
Man's hands are d Shaaaaaking lmao
You can a setup a snake
Biggest idiot snake owner Ive ever seen. So many things wrong here. Feel sorry for any snake in your possession.
You shouldn't handle your snake right after getting it. It needs time in it's enclosure to settle down. Also you should have your enclosure set up before the animal arrives so you can move it directly into the enclosure. If you want to educate people please educate yourself first.
When you don’t have a hide, toilet/paper towel rolls work great in a pinch. Also, plastic containers from dips or microwave food can be diyed into a hide either temporarily or for extended amounts of time.
Kingsnakes love to burrow my guy
how does it breathe, being closed to the lid like that during shipment? Doesn’t it need oxygen, air?
The deli cup / container its in has holes.
Beautiful snake.
Get a sharp knife please lol
Where did you order the snake from?
Motor city Reptiles I believe!
He knows you're not food..it was more than likely defensive because they are constrictors so he would've squeezed first
If it was a defensive bite he wouldn't have held on.
Where did you order from?
I keep seeing these species kept in screen cages which really doesn't make much sense cause screen cages don't hold humidity well. I recommend a glass enclosure with a screen lid and possible cross-ventilation with a bioactive setup for great humidity retention.
Well that's the difficulty with these guys is humidity is important but so is ventilation. They require a cyclical humidity. 3-4 rainy days and then dry days. Too humid, especially for babies, can promote bacterial growth and kill babies. Its tough to raise these guys, particularly breeding them.
so no hide, wrong sized mouse, fed on substrate(ie impaction risk), clearly didnt wash hands as it kept biting you.........otherwise great video 😉
Being that they're a lizard that needs high humidity.....wouldn't a glass sided enclosure be a better option. I was noticing all the water on your floor after misting....😏
They also have very sensitive respiratory systems and need lots of air circulation which is why people normally have screen tanks
Brainless anyone can see that's to big for him!
Cover your addy next time brother !
"Will bury himself from time to time" haha they bury themselves all the time my dude!
