I am a vietnam vet (1971). I sure wish I could get one of these! I had one from my dad for my birthday when I was about 14. Cool! The reception and sensitivity was so very good. I found countless stuff because it was a dream with all the space for tuning on the front as you tune very slowly, discerning the individual signals. An absolute gem.

just done did the same thing, but i painted the case maroon/red instead of the cream/white and boy howdy that made it look just stunning. and the aux/bluetooth works great.

Since I am 72 years old I remember AM radios like this when I was a child growing up. I also remember vacuum tube AM radios. It was a big advancement when transistor AM radios came out. The transistor made possible portable battery powered AM radios.
