I'm Belgian, and you are doing it totaly wrong, if the potatoes are clean, just cut them up in pieces: never use water to wash fries, biggest mistake none belgians make. a bit of starch is what you need to get good belgian fries, so put them in a towel make a bundle of that towel and rub them off a bit. never frie in vegetable oil, use beef/ox fat give the fries it's belgian character fry first at 155-160 C shake of the fat, let them rest for about 15 minutes minimum to 45 max. fry a second time at around 165-170c if you are making them for multiple people, not everyone likes salt, so give the option to people to choose salt or no salt.

Rolling your ankles is impossible with skiboots on!!! If you can then either your boots are not closed properly or they are way too large!! What you do when “side slipping” ( the real skiing term is “rutschen”) is moving your knees towards the uphill slope (edging on the uphill side of your ski)and the only way anatomically (and therefore physiologically) possible to do that is to laterally bend your spine - the “banana” stance!

Where I live there are some Cat's Ear. Even tho it clearly isn't dandelion; the flower head does look similar; but not the stem or the leaves. Interesting that it has similar uses as Dandelion when it comes to medicinal use.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your dedicated efforts to preserve the history of Wood River, Illinois. It's truly admirable to see how you have been working to bring awareness to the antiquity of this area, which has a rich and fascinating past. For those who may not know, Wood River was once home to the Cahokia, a pre-Columbian Native American civilization that thrived in the Mississippi River Valley from the 7th to the 14th century. The Cahokia were renowned for their impressive earthworks, including the famous Monk's Mound, which is still the largest prehistoric earthwork in North America.Wood River became an important center for industry, with the discovery of large oil reserves in the early 20th century. The community grew rapidly, attracting many workers to the area and transforming it into a hub of manufacturing and commerce. Despite the changes over time, it's heartening to see that there are people like you who are committed to preserving the legacy of Wood River and its diverse cultural heritage. Thank you again

I've been watching all these flower videos you have and really enjoying the information given in them. The only thing I can think on improving would be to make a playlist so people could just watch them all in a row instead of going back and scrolling through to find the next flower video you posted. But great info! Interesting stories and beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing.

What a life! Exciting but hard and a great deal of danger…I love to listen to him and would love to see his documentary but would not want to be out there doing what he is doing. We live in the country in central PA and we have bear come through on a regular basis - black bear. There was one that had three cubs and she came to the same spot every day for about 4-5 weeks. Her cubs were so little and someone told us she would not go far from the den until they were big enough to travel safely with her away from the den. We would take pictures through our French doors very carefully because she was only about 30 feet away on the edge of the woods. Then one day she was gone and so were the cubs. They had grown enough that she had left the den. We know there is a den not too far from us somewhere! Maybe we will see another bear with cubs at some point. They are lovely to watch but I don’t want to meet a bear with cubs out in the woods.

I think it’s the most important skill to learn bar none! It feeds into so much of skiing and is a technique you will never stop learning. It teaches you edge control, balancing on your outer ski, hockey stop, fore and aft balance etc. And those skills and sensations feed into parallel skidded turns and carving. But also it helps a new skier get down a difficult slope safely and with complete control. If they find a bit which is too scary or a bit much for them, they can side slip down instead. Truly an invaluable skill.
