So the Earth Avatar, may have to deal with the consequences of Korra reconnecting the spirit and human worlds. As Korra said the Avatar will no longer be the bridge between spirits and humanity. But the Acatar still is the protector and mediator of peace and order. But, I feel the Avatar after Korra, will also correct her mistake, and reconnect the past cycle. Not as spirits of byibe ages that are too set in their ways, at one point Aang severed that connection. But as knowledge to draw on instead. I foresee a future where the Avatar may be treated as a celebrity by modern media. But will be forced to become a hero with a secret identity. Maybe, there is a future where the old ways are forgotten as technology and industrialization take hold. Dependence on technology and science grows. Bending is forgotten and later outlawed by an evil threat that wishes to end the Avatar and the past. Where it’s no longer one evil nation, a terrorist organization, or humanity vs spirits anymore. It’s good humans (and benders) and spirits, vs bad humans and spirits.

Korra's problem was that she preferred to shoot fire first and ask questions later. The avatar is supposed to bring peace, and unlike Aang, who only used violence as a last resort, she preferred to bully people into submission to make them listen to her.

As far as 1vs1 goes Once airbending was unlocked, she threw Amon around before kicking him out a window. Her 2nd duel with Kuvira. She seemed to fair better, the fight was interrupted by the mech exploding. She didn't need saving, and ultimately won.

Amon is not beating Aang my boy. Unlike Korra, Aang could actually use the avatar state not to mention that his airbending skills are just superior. And just like Amon Aang at the age of 12/13 already had the ability to take people’s bending. The only reason why Aang struggled with Ozai was because he’s a pacifist people be forgetting that and acting like Aang was struggling fr. Ntm that he was again not even a teen yet. Aang at the age of Korra throughout LOK would’ve definitely defeated the villains way faster than she ever did. Girl was 17 and still couldn’t even use the avatar state yet knew how to use 3 elements at the age of 4. And I also feel like they nerfed the fuck out Aang as an Adult, but then again he died very young so maybe he was already getting weaker at that point. Still I think Aang would have a much easier time than Korra if he was her age. Can’t really compare a 12 year old with a 17 year old and then a 21 year old at the end of the series.
