Hey your Dad is a wonderful person, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him many times. On the TcB Cruise once I walked into a bar and there was your mom and dad and a friend of theirs sat at a table drinking wine when Glen saw me he said hey Gary come and join us, three hours and much wine later I had probably one of the best nights of my life. It was fun and laughter and I feel blessed to have been invited, I have nothing but respect and admiration for him a super talented musician, a friend to Elvis and a friend to Elvis fans. I wish your dad nothing but good health . Gary from the UK but now living overseas
"Enchanted" indeed...what a great reflection on his own life. I lost my father on January 1st 2024 and I can tell you first hand that no better eulogy can be given for someone than their own words of contentment spoken about the life they have lived. I hope you have many, many more years of hearing your father's stories and the tinkling of those keys as he sits and reflects on his fine life.
Imagine having 80+ years of beautiful music in your head and only two amazing hands/10 fingers; and one piano before you to try and get it all to come out:...you sit down and start playing like a writer penning extemporaneously through their stream of consciousness and this chord leads to this song you played which leads to the intro to this bridge on that song and then you play that chord which then reminds you of the melody of another song you wrote for so and so...all along, also, reminding you of the people and places and memories that music evokes; like no other form of art can do...what a beautiful chaotic mind it must be like inside you father's musical soul! Thank you for sharing your personal time with us.
Please say hallo to your father from me, I worked a bit for him, driving, setlists ect, when he was in Denmark in 2011 and 2012, and I did visit him once in Nashville in 2011 as well. He such a nice man. All the best
My father is experiencing prostate issues at 85. Hes hardly ever been sick a day in his life. He left the hospital early a few days before this. Against better judgment. My sister and I are trying to slowly nudge him to please go back and let them finish. He agreed, is back home now. I had forgotten i recorded him. ❤
