Yea as soon as you arrive at the greyhound station all the homeless flock to ask for money. It's worst at night. SA is thrash and people here love it

Just rode thru there yesterday. It's pretty bad, esp under the bridge and on the other side inbetween Frio and the highway. Just a lot more homeless. Really dangerous to ride solo. I see a lot of homeless on Apache trail by OLLU/commerce street. Alazon trial is the same way from Woodlawn lake going south thru town and beyond. I have seen things worsen in the last 5 years. Be Safe!

This area used to be 1000 times worse in the 90's when samms shelter used to be there they even had a Segment on Dr phil show about the area

Lived here 20 years, moved on West side near Woodlawn lake from the north side...love my old house....on my street, my house was first house for sale in like 10 years, its a generational street, my wifes Tio and Tia live across the street and cousin is our neighbor....we love it

As soon as you walk across the border to Mexico there’s entire villages like this, yall have no clue what poverty looks like Children standing under the bridge with milk jugs and cups taped to broomsticks holding them up and shouting at you hoping you’ll throw coins into them and old blind ladies with one leg sitting on the sidewalk holding up signs and selling twenty five cent packets of chiclets. The US could build shelters for people to keep them off the streets, but this is what they want.

Es es mi barrio. I grew up all around la calle Guadalupe in the 60s, 70s. In fact I still live around there. I used to shine shoe all up and down Guadalupe Street back in the early 70s for several years when there were a lot of cantinas en la Guadalupe. I went to Barkley, Cooper and Lanier, los might Voks.

The South Flores HEB market is directly next to the HEB corporate headquarters. You also cruised by Bill Millers headquarters on SoFlo. Interesting that neither of these HQ's announce their presence in a big way.

Looks like a nice hood

That's the area my Dad was from. My grandparents house was on Potosi & Zarzamora near the handball courts across from the old Texas Latino Ice House where my Tio would hang out. I didn't grow up with them but I got to know them when I became old enough to go meet them for myself.

I don't know if you know if you're from this here hood, but if you're not, you better be ready to go and trained well to scrabble with 8 people and the darn dogs
