Praise God. No clue what you were facing this week, but I can relate. “Mortification” is not remotely comfortable, but we aren’t meant to stay in that place. Be humbled and then fall into the everlasting arms. To quote another “controversial song”; “I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way He loves us.” I was thinking this week how unimpressed I am with myself, and prayed something along the lines, “I know You’re not impressed.” He quickly reminded me that that is and never has been the point. Jesus doesn’t want us to impress Him. He doesn’t even want us to try to impress Him. He wants our hearts humbled before Him. He is worthy of worship, of lives laid down. We will never impress Him with our holiness, our surrender, our righteousness… but He cherishes us. He loves us simply because He loves us. He chose us because He loves us, not because of what We have done… he chose us before the foundation of the world, not because one day we would impress Him, but because He loves us. He will never let us go, not because we deserve it but because it’s the only way He can express perfect love to His children. We are perfect children living imperfect lives…

Thank you so much for your prayers! 🤍 We both love and appreciate you all. Clayton has been working alone to clean an entire school by himself for approximately 2 months or so with no end in sight, it has not been good on him. On top of that he keeps getting sick (like colds). On the plus, I got a new Bluetooth speaker with stereo sound and mixed with UA-cam, we can actually hear this!!
