fuck northern nash. i hate them!
Did you happen to also videotape the game that night also! I would love to get footage of that game!
This was from a Band Competition, there was no game that night.
I know Crown Him, Pie Jesu, and Oh be joyful... what was the other song?
Good ol Days!
The first of our Dynasty! 🤩
✅
Man this was great!
I LOVED IT!! I think i could march that show still today
Awesome that you passed B Flat along! I still play this by the way, lol. Clark Harrell could write man, wonder what he's doing nowadays.
i miss this very much i march when mr underwood was our director we won some many trophies that year.
I remember when we got the sheet music for the closer and Me and David were like hell NO we are not playing this. We pull out Clark Harrell's arrangement from the year previous and pushed it on Blice, who agreed with me and David. I forgot the guy who was in charge of percussion this year but he had to feel slighted, lol.
Scott Herring was the instructor. He is now Percussion Professor at USC, and is one of the great players in the world. We had some GREAT talent teaching us back then. Many of them have Doctorates now. We were lucky.
Really... I am happy for him. He had talent as the opener "cenataph" was awesome. I think it was too much for him at the time as the closer he wrote was far from what the opener was quality wise.
What I would give to go back and march this show again!
Man this brings back memories...these kids are good Chris. Did you arrange this? For whatever reason I always look for that Roland type in the pit, lol.
I tweaked it some, but it was a Key Poulan chart that was pre-arranged. There is a newer video with the complete show online too. East Lincoln Indoor Percussion 3-22-14 NW Guilford
Love!!! I miss this so much and am a little shocked at how long ago this was! But we were amazing!!!
The basses really drug in the end, and I remember being upset at them and at myself for messing up during the first tenor solo, I almost dropped my stick.
ahhh bflat
Ahh, the good ole days!
HORNS KILLED IT!
GREAT SHOW 94" Marching Knight!
Great show and fun to be apart of ... the most comfortable band uniforms ever!!
This was the show that one of the Tuba tops came off at a home football game ... I believe
I wrote the drum parts for this show
Mr uderwood made this our band show this year at north
my sister is on that field somewhere
My freshman year. Good memories.
letss goooo haha i played top bass
Chris, you brought tears to my eyes today. Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much for posting these.
Wow! I played the trumpet this year! What an awesome time! Hard to believe that it's been 21 years! This brings so back so many memories! If there is anyone out there in the band then who'd like to contact me, you can: Eric Lee hooforce@yahoo.com
That might have been Terry now that I think about it but if it is it was his only one at competition, something was always wrong with why he could not do it. I played cymbals this year. 22 inches that I took a chunk out of, LOL.
I played Quints next to my late partner in crime David Harris. My last year.
I love what we did at 9:48 seconds in...The drumline did a little yell to let all know we were the real deal.
Also if I remember correctly Terry's trumpet was not silver, Paula's was.
Well if I recall correctly Terry never did the solo at competition...something to do with a hole in his lip or something. He only landed it perfectly at halftime. I know becasue I was next to him in formation directly after.
Thanks for posting this Chris...I was waiting for someone to do it. Do you have any of the winter percussion stuff?
MY FAVORITE YEAR!!! Are you willing to put these on DVD and sale them?
Love it!!! I was in the clarinet section in this show!!!
