The most I ever hit was a 17 gamer for $217k and that was last year. I quit betting after that. Paid the house and the cars off and bought a new tv and that’s it. Oh, I did get the wife a 5 year membership at the country club lol. But that’s it.

This was a good video, but there is a couple of other things that were not mentioned. One of the other perks of being an owner is you get voting rights. Every few years we get to vote for the company CEO and Board of Directors. Imagine having the power to kick out someone like Jerry Jones? Packers shareholders have that! Fortunately we like Mr. Murphy. The corporation also has to release their financial records every year to anyone who wants to look at them. Literally anyone. No other team does that. From what I understand, most of the money goes to maintenance and upgrades to the stadium. Also this kind of ownership acts as an insurance policy. Meaning in an age of owners threatening to move teams, this can't be done with Green Bay. The corporation can only be dissolved, not moved and that would take a 3/4ths vote of all shareholders. Mind you this is NOT a financial investment. It's an emotional one. The fans love their team so much that they are willing to help out from time to time. It also is a reminder of the other teams that are long gone, that had similar ownership status to this, but didn't survive. The Packers are a last bastion of that. Plus how cool is it that an organization such as this has the power to grant a similar title status to blue collar jane and joe schmoe off the street that is usually reserved to billionaire rich folks? Oh and source? My family is part owners.

Instead a lot of cities levy taxes to build a new stadium where every tax payer pays even the ones who don’t care. The Green Bay way is people who do care can contribute. Green Bay is also the only public owned franchise in sports. You could be like the bears and many other teams who say build us a stadium or we are leaving and the taxpayers fork over a billion dollars, many who don’t care about football
