I think you mentioned using the SAT box to control the rotator but use the new handheld for the radio (which will work, I think) while the 9700 is out of service. That seems like a good idea for your UA-cam channel while waiting for your "real" sat radio to be returned.

That’s all I use. The Retevis RT3S with the OpenGD77 firmware and an Arrow II. I love them both. K3DMM

How many volts was your SAT box putting out? My SAT box also damaged my 9700. My CIV and CW ports no longer function because the trace for the ground burned up (CW and CIV pins share a common ground).

When you get the OPENGD77 on the Retevis you can hook it up to your tower and still work the FM Birds!

good content keep it up and you need to do a second instance of wsjt-x just for the 9700 so you don't have to worry about to make sure if you have the right settings de W9US
