THANK YOU!! The key FOB for my wife's 2012 escalade randomly stopped working and when I would unlock the door with the key, the alarm would go off. I looked at the hood latch and cable coming off of it and saw there was a massive dragonfly that somehow got smashed in there while driving. Cleaned it all off and made sure the cables were in the right place and it is working again.

How would this fix it ? Makes no sense to me

Almost a week now after doing this and my car hasn’t set itself off randomly like it was doing before. My fingers are crossed that this was the problem, not one of the door sensors that went bad.

1 year since this treatment. The chain noise is gone. Fuel economy is up 13%. The cold start rattle is still there. The engine is running very smooth. I am very satisfied with this treatment.

It is still leaking a bit. Next is to remove the whole headliner and detect the source. I think there is another leak at the back sky roof area.

I had this problem with a Mazda 3. Disconnecting the hood switch stopped the alarm from randomly going off, but created another problem. A few weeks later I noticed my battery was being drained. I checked the circuit for the door monitoring system and noticed there was a high draw. I fixed the issue by soldering the wires of the hood switch together to complete the circuit.

Thank you , was getting bubbles out of the gets and flow kept going down until the pump auto off. Though I clean the baskets, replace the skimmer sock every week, clean the filter cartridge every month and it's just 3 years old. Happy this is resolved. Thnx

I did everything from disconnected horns and took out fuses. The problem went away for a while and during that time I was driving without horns. Now for some reason, it started to fuk with me again. So this time, I manually lock the doors and it still goes off by flashing lights buy eventually it stopped. After searching further, I make sure I take out all horn fuses that marked S which mean security alarm. I also did what this guy did with the hood hatch wire but I didn't splice them with green and yellow. I guess if the fuking thing started flashing my lights again then I will spice the wires.

I have no sunroof, just roof rails! andthe seat belt is stinky! got to see if its covered under insurance.

We have the same issue in our 2013 Sienna. May I ask which city you're in ? Would you try to fix this for us :)

There is a video on UA-cam showing how to replace this bearing without replacing coupler. Buy the bearing and upgraded dust seal and replace yourself.

My sienna is leaking at the exact same place. Thanks so much. I spent over 5K last year replacing the outer seal of sunroof and replaced ceiling of my van by Toyota. This year it leaked again so I’m hoping with your video I can get it fixed for good

Hi--I also have a 2011 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD with the "SAME" roof leak. Interestingly, it seems like my roof leak is "also" coming from the passenger side. I've followed your videos and I know you've done a particularly deep dive into diagnosing the root of this problem. I'm curious if you've had any luck in the past year since your last post.

Nice job! It does suck to have the incorrect replacement part, been there, done that same thing with my Moen shower cartridge. The rubber components in that cartridge assembly get hard as a rock or the rubber seal rolls over on itself while you are trying to remove the cartridge and jams it up. You did not mention if you were using the cartridge puller tool or if you were just pulling on the stem freehand. The cartridge puller makes sure you apply a square even pressure while pulling on it, but there is still no guarantee that it will come out with a cartridge puller either. You saved yourself a bundle by not having to replace the wall guts.👍

I have a shower with the 1225 cartridge which hasn't been changed for about 20 yrs. I'm expecting I may have a similar experience, so I appreciate the tip about threading a screw into the cartridge. 👍

My Kohler diverter is a plunger type in water mixing assembly and it's stuck in for shower. I have to pull it out to use the tub but it always binds up. I wonder if it's similar? I bet it may be.
