Finding the Whitecourt Crater With a 1947 Dodge
Three members of the Edmonton Antique Car Club and I continue our search for the Whitecourt Meteorite Crater in the 1947 Dodge. This time we not only find the famous crater but a meteorite and meteorite fragments as well. We again had an exciting adventure, made memorable by the vintage 1947 Dodge.

Some members of the Edmonton Antique Car Club and I search for the Whitecourt Meteorite Crater using a 1947 Dodge. This adventure was part of their 2014 "Oldies Tour" to Whitecourt and Drayton Valley. Although they were unable to reach the famous Crater they had a great time looking for it using the antique Dodge.

After reviewing progress thus far on the restoration of this antique car, I take it for a short ride down the street. I wanted to do this before winter really sets in. I have done every bit of the work on this car myself. This car is still a long way from being finished.
To fabricate the complete wood structure of the body and doors and align it the way that you did is an outstanding accomplishment. Great job!
Hi buddy! Can you send me the blueprints?
Bravo!
LOOK UP JONATHAN W. ON UA-cam HE HAD TO MAKE A SHIM FOR HIS CRANK NOW IT RUNS STRONG
My mother drove a 29 Whippet to high school, during the early 1940's. Her 95th birthday was last month. 80 years later, and she still talks about it. " All the boys liked riding on the running boards, etc." Thanks for the memories, Arend.

Two of my favorite subjects: old cars and earth's history. It's great to see an old car do something besides sit in a garage or park at a car show. Wish I could have been along on that trip! BTW, my best friend from college got married in '73 and the wedding car was a '48 Dodge.
Well done... I've just got my Whippet on the road too.... needed a bit of work like yours..👍
You basically had to fabricate most of the car. Great job! Another example of automotive history saved.
Sure looks like you guys had fun
