Throughout February, I managed to catch a few trains of interest on Metro-North's Hudson Line, including the Avelia Liberty, and MNR 217 on the move to Croton-Harmon shops. Included is an M702 that I caught moments before the Avelia move. Enjoy!

Enjoy those full P42 sets while you can, Im on the West coast and when those chargers took over, full P42 sets became rare.
Nice video! I happened to be parked in White Haven after finding the new parking area for the D&L trail when the northbound R&N train rolled on by at 4:55pm. I take it that this train is a M-F operation?

Awesome video, great editing and really good action! One question though, why was that long distance Amtrak train stopping at Princeton Junction at the end of the video? I would imagine that wasn't a scheduled stop.
It's the northeast regional, which does stop at Princeton junction.

Are those the Siemens sets?
The sets are still being built, with only a few cars nearing completion at the facility. These are just the usual ALC-42 locomotives that have been out for a few years now. This test is likely in preparation for Airo sets though.

Amtrak sometimes joined with private coach, if Airo take place, where can private coach join?
Sad the first of that order 300 is done already using it for parts after its bad crash only lasted a little more then a year.

I don't know if they're allowed right now. But the Amtrak Airo trainsets they'll eventually run with will come with the electrification needed so that these ALC-42s run on electric mode without diesel power. I'm pretty sure at that point they will be allowed in Penn and Grand Central.
They have "dual-mode" Chargers? Other than "dual-mode", what is so unique about the Hudson Line that there needs to be testing?

Airo sets will soon takeover, which will use ALC-42E Chargers to power the sets.
They are soo quiet. i am gonna miss that beefy diesel engine sound of the P32.
