I'm learning Korean, I'm on the beginner level. I mean I do know how to make sentences and all but, I have a doubt... the word 일년 should sound like il-nyon, but why does it sound like il-lyon? Are there any rules for this? Cuz also in the word 입니다, as per the batchim rule its supposed to sound like 'ip-nida', but it sounds like im-nida. I know that here in 입니다, after 입, there is 니, so if there is a 'n' sound after the 'p' sound of ㅂ when it is a batchim changes to a 'm' sound. So, are there any more rules like this? But for the word 일년, I think it's just that when we speak korean, it's a bit fast, not alot but a bit so 일년 sounds like il-Lyon. thats just my guess. Please correct me and tell me if there are any other rules. And also another thing that why are sometimes 이가, 이는 used together? I.e. 희승이는 내 남자친구..., or 희승이가...

It is the easiest language tho. Both of those can be read correctly if you've given yourself enough exposure to conversations while learning. The point is, you don't have to spend weeks and months learning the writing system like with most asian languages. And it's good, makes stuff less complex. 😭
