I just watched a couple interviews he gave in the late '80s saying how this company was recording this record with an older man named Max the Butcher. He died and they got Tiny Tim to take his place. Later on, they wanted to extort $25,000 from Warner Brothers after God Bless Tiny Tim to not put this record out because everyone knew it was intentionally bad. Warner Bros. wouldn't pay up, so they released it. Tiny knew it was bad not because it was recorded when he was younger, but because these people purposely wanted him to sing off key.
