Today is the 30th Anniversary of The Princess and the Goblin.
In my first playthrough the owlbear appears at the endgame party fully grown and you get to ask Halsin to please care for him from now on and Halsin agrees. But in my second and third playthroughs despite recruiting the owlbear it doesn't show up at the endgame party. not sure what im doing wrong?
Did you use it during the endgame fight? If it died there it won’t show up at the party
… fine… I’ll do a damned Druid playthrough for once…
he has a few more unique lines if you're a druid :)

What armor do you have on halsin here?
It's the rare medium armor Elven Chain, but dyed. Can't recall the exact one I used, but I'm guessing something with green.
The Elven chain on Halsin also looks good if you dye it with the pink+green dye, the pink looks more red-ish on the metal
Is Wyll with horns a mod?
No. SPOILERS: Wyll's patron, Mizora, will turn Wyll into a devil if you spare Karlach's life.

@@direct2397 he is honestly boring as a character…they stripped him of any depth after EA…he is pretty much always in the morally right which is boring. Honestly, he seems more suited as a bard than a warlock. I mean as a companion he is great for me cause the last thing I want is some ugly frog, some vampire twink and some edgy shadow cultist shitting on my doing of sidequests. After getting him, karlach and gale in a full good guy party, I felt less needing to babysit those needy wannabe teenagers who pretty much need my 100% emotional support all the time.

HEY I HAVE VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION. Can we (as a druid female) also transition to a bear in that scene?
Nope. It was one of the big questions I had as well leading up to that scene, but the game doesn't have that option for Druid players even if you earn the skill beforehand.
Sadly, no. Maybe we'll get lucky and Larian will add it as an option in a future update, but for now you can't transform into anything when playing as a Druid.
@@fishgirlgaming8589 It's honestly an oversight, I've seen quite a few comments on it XD But then Halsin was never originally meant to be a romanceable character to begin with, so it's really amazing that the scene is that long and we get multiple options

my first playthrough was with Wyll. I started with Durge, then got to this point. I immediately went to the main menu and started a new game. His "naive do-gooder" character resembles mine a lot and I thoroughly enjoyed starting off my BG3 experience with him
Loved this owlbear cub. I was upset we couldn't name him in the game but I named him anyway. Called him Smudge =) So he would match Scratch's name <3
Saw, that’s so cute. I did something similar and named the owlbear cub Sniff so he could be Scratch and Sniff. 😂

I called him Munch since he's always talking about biting, and the name matches him so well in act 3

@@samzorn4656 I uh... kind of made Yenna being kidnapped my headcanon _before_ knowing what would happen to Grub... I intentionally made Orin's fight last longer, not attacking some times to let her boon trigger so I could spend more time hacking her up in Grub's name.

If memroy serves, that is the Potent Robe and ColdBrim Hat that I put blue dye on. I don't recall the cloak I gave him, but whatever dye i used did turn it dark gold color that worked with his aesthetic.

While Neil absolutely earned the awards he's gotten for voicing Astarion, Dave did an amazing job as Halsin, too, especially during the romantic scenes. That out-of-breath nervousness, that slight catch in his voice during the love scene when he first transforms into a bear, etc. It makes me glad that Astarion doesn't get angry with you for wanting to have something with Halsin, too, because after seeing his non-Bear love scene there is no way I can turn him down when he asks.
