You have way more patience than me. I have these molds, but I have never tried using uv resin with them. Thank you for the ideas. JDICTION is great, but if you're trying to get uv resin to flow around something, is easier with JDICTION low viscosity uv resin. Tips & tricks: You can purchase black needle tip squeeze bottles. I make my own colored uv resin and put them in those. Using a needle tip bottle with these molds would be so much easier 😅. To get the bead on the other mold easier, use mold release or use a drill to make the hole slightly larger. Mold release also conditions your molds and makes them survive longer.

Cool idea. I have the round bead molds but never thought of that. Maybe it doesn’t show as well in the round beads because of the curved surface which magnifies things. Still a good way to suspend things or create a couple of layers.

Pour the polyethylene from the side of the bottle not from the front. It won’t spill out like that and you have more control of the resin coming out of the jug.

Using mod podge is just like covering it in Elmer's glue. It is not very durable. I don't understand why you wouldn't use a resin top coat on a resin item. I wouldn't buy it.

If you're top coating it with epoxy, you shouldn't need to mod podge it.

That is one beautiful project , and I love it. I'd love to see the different resins tested! I have also seen a "soft" UV resin being used on the "Krei Art" Channel here on UA-cam. I don't know whether it's available in North America yet, but I sure hope it is, or at least soon will be. It is rubbery and bendable, but won't hold the bend without a layer of hard UV resin cured on it . She took a flower mold, used the soft resin and cured it, then placed the flower right side up and pushed it into a round mold of the same size so that the petals bent upwards, applied a coat of a hard resin and cured it. Fascinating! I'd love to know what you think of it.

Did you try using a heat gun to warm it,then something heavy on top to take the warp out? It should work if it hasn’t sat too long before doing it…Love the work,and that’s how we learn..Even the most experienced person makes “perfectly imperfect” work…❤
