i just discovered a gash on my tire after hitting a pot hole last night. came here to see if i should call in to work today. only a couple wires are showing, but still makes me nervous. i plan on getting it repaired in a couple days. unfortunately the previous owner put lug locks on it, so now i have to wait for my kit to arrive

My Cruze has the exact same issue. These arms are made of plastic which sucks, snipps off quite easily.

Russ it can range from $1500 to $2200 on average.

How much should that job cost? My local ford dealer is saying I need a evap core, and blend door change and it’s going to be $2900. Is that a fair price or should I go grab my truck and make a transfer to another shop? I know it’s a lot of work and that’s why i don’t want to make the repair myself. I drive semi trucks all week and I don’t want to take a dash apart on my weekend.

10 hours to take the dash apart. Is that without the service manual? Lol. it takes my shop 2 hours just to do an oil change and I can do it 5 minutes. 🤷

This should be under recall as it's a saftey issue for defrosting the driver side of the window!

I replaced the evaporator core in my 2012 F-150, the whole process took me 3hrs

Most of the time it is good to take your car into the shop to get it replaced however it costs close to $300 for them to replace a part that costs $2 because they have to take the whole steering column down. Advice to anyone watching this, it is pretty painless to do this by yourself, there are videos out there that show the proper way to get to the electric motor to replace the coupler. Also forewarning, everything is just screws and bolta except for the electric motor itself, electric motor has torque screws, but believe me you would rather spens a couple hours doing it yourself than having to pay $350 for them to do it
