Taking Back Saturday DIY
Приєднався 7 гру 2021
Welcome to Taking Back Saturday DIY! If you’re lucky you get one or two days off from work each week. That’s a limited amount of time to get run errands, work on projects and relax. This channel was created to help you take back your Saturday’s! We’re all about saving time and money when your doing projects around the house so you can get back to enjoying your weekend.
My wife and I recently bought a 70 year old house in Southern Alberta, and we are loving it. We’ll be doing a build along with all the updates, projects and decor to make this house our home.
I have also enjoyed acquiring a small collection of houseplants and plan to share the tips and tricks that have helped make owning houseplants enjoyable. If you like to watch plants do their thing, I have several cameras ready to record all the changes, new leaves, new roots, blooms and growth.
There may be the occasional relaxing video of a 3D print or time-lapses of whatever adventure we find ourselves on.

Workbench Wood Order
1- ⅜ (or 19/32” ) x4’x8’ OSB Panel pick your thickness
5- 2x4x104 ⅝
5- 2x4x92 ⅝
2 1/2" wood screws
Cuts
Take 4 of the 104’’ studs and cut out the following from each board:
2 @ 36”
1 @ 32”
Giving you 36+36+32=104” ⅜ left over as waste assuming a ⅛ width blade
With the last 104” stud cut 3 sections @ 32” each
Take one of the 92” Studs and cut off 2 sections @ 29”
*If you’re able, with the excess 58” from this stud cut two 8” sections then adjust the saw blade to 45 degrees and cut the corners off as demonstrated in the video.
The 2 of the remaining 92” studs can be trimmed to 89 ⅝ if you’d like or be left at the full length.
This should give you:
8 legs - 36”
7 supports - 32”
2 leg braces - 29”
2 framing pieces -92 ⅝”
2 leg supports - 92 ⅝” or 89 ⅝ “ if you choose to cut them down
