At 8:05 you say that (after picking up the chain brake) you should "immediately hook the loop on the horn"; do you mean that the ring should be pushed over the retainer bump on the horn near the end of the handles?
Just seeing this - yes, our practice is that the ring or cord should be secured all the way up, or all the way down. We believe that routinely holding it in hand risks inadvertent deployment, loss of control, or injury to the patroller's hand.

So Good - Will Watchh again. Thank You!
Brilliant 👍👍
I just got this randomly recommended but very useful info 🙏
This is outdated as of 5/2020
As far as I can tell this meets all the CPIs of OEC 6th ed skill guide 7-1? (We already were considering major hemorrhage prior to airway. 0:40 ) I have not yet delved into the 6th edition textbook so if you see other specific changes that are not addressed I'd love that feedback! We are in the process of looking at which videos will need to be re-shot or re-narrated.
I appreciate the videos your patrol produces. It's incredibly helpful to have examples. Thank you!
David Foran: why?
Really great primary assessment
Nice...great medical assertiveness, and rapid thoroughness :)
Really well done video! You should come out to the Nuts and Bolts Clinic at Mt. Hood sometime, usually the first weekend of June.
