John Byrne Fantastic Four artist select edition book review.
Hey my apologies for two things in this video one is my sniffles my nose was acting up and two there are times in the video when I'm saying Boris when I should have been saying frazetta.
Essentials are the best. I like them better in black and white, you really appreciate the inking art. Wish Marvel would continue them.
My thoughts exactly
What a good video. People don't talk about value enough.
Thanks for this review. I was on fence on which edition to buy.
👍👍😊
Wow, Taschen does popular art books aside from classic art or architecture now. Nice thing.
Would you say the Taschen publication overall is at the top of the heap when it comes to Frazetta books, or is there a comparable substitute already available (even if it's in several volumes) for the budget minded enthusiast?
To be honest I would have to say Taschen gives you more then enough of Frazetta art I just feel they can do this in a smaller size, for me icon is a great book also Legacy and his sketchbooks I would say all of the vanguard books you can't go wrong with the Frazetta books put out by vanguard.
First world problems .. what a shame
Lol you got that right it's still an amazing book, you have to hit the gym before you pick it up.
@@BlockBusterGraphicWorks nah. I'm use the girth.
That's the design of the book
👍👍👍
Got this book it’s fantastic 😮
👍👍
Fantastic book 😮
Excellent advice, you've saved me from my fomo. Thank you.
All was great with the Essentials but the later ones are not Black & White, they are colored in gray tones 🤨
True it's a hit or miss when it comes to the essentials line I don't think marvel took it serious enough which is probably why there is a lack of consistency 😕
Nice, didn’t realize they looked that much alike.
I know to be honest I actually like the essentials a little better than the artist edition from a practical standpoint plus you get all the issues unlike the artist edition.
@@BlockBusterGraphicWorks I thought the essentials were just regular comics without color but it looks like it’s not fully inked either. I think it looks more than just the pencils but it also doesn’t look fully finished either.
Between this and the essentials, I'll take the regular color comic
You can't beat the color comics that's what I grew up on I like the black & white for the rawness of the art.
Marvel Essentials and DC Showcase Presents b&w volumes are by far my favorite comic series that were put out in the last 20 years. Really wish they kept them going. I also prefer getting all this great art in b&w. Even as a kid in the 70's, I never thought the coloring was on the same level as the ink work.
👍👍
Nice book 😮
