Bikepacking the Himalayas of Ladakh, India
In summer 2023 we bikepacked in the beautiful region of Ladakh, in north-western India. This region between Tibet and Pakistan offers amazing cultural experiences as well as majestic mountain landscapes.
We usually like to hike or bikepack independently with our tents and food, but for this trip we prioritized the cultural side. The network of local homestays in the region is probably one of the best ways to experience the local way of life, which is rapidly changing due to modernization.

Enjoy and thanks for viewing :)

Hope I can do a trip like this in a few years. The landscape and the people there look amazing. Can't believe you two look "relax" when climbing to the Shingo La pass, at 5090m above sea level. My lung was busted when climbing to Akbaytal pass for a mere 4655m high.
Gained a subscriber, congratulations Great video btw 😁
Nice video!
I have been lucky to have done some parts of this trip on my bicycle and some on a motorbike and you have covered some of the most interesting bits of Ladakh. Cheers!

@@Ago_Nico thank you, I traced it myself on the map when watching, but good to have confirmation. I was in Ladakh 12 years ago and always wanted to return on a bike! Your route is quite atypical and I like it
