    Full respect for building this with the absolute minimum of equipment.

    Why would one publish such a shitty construction on video? Everything is undersized, ugly fittingd, no class 4, no air under the floor, no breathing insulation, everything will rot in no time.

    See; this is awesome. This guy used nothing but a drill, a handsaw and a hammer. Straightforward and simple. Anyone can build it, and that’s the best part! Cheers 🍻

    DIY tip. Surface nail and screw heads particularly on the bench would certainly render an unforgettable sauna experience as might any lock on the door.

    Hi, did you do any insulation on the ground, or you left it open? Great video, thanks!

    • @ssannder
      @ssannder 6 місяців тому

      Thank you! Left it open. Works perfectly, air flows in the sauna and water flows straight in to the soil. Sauna heats up fast, even in the winter here in north-east Europe.

    I really enjoyed this video , i have a small shed like this that was a kids play shed but not used much now. I would just need to insulate inside and board the inside , change the door to a glass one , and get the burner/heater. I have a whiskey barrel already for a Cold dip.. Love it you’re giving me plenty of ideas.

    Beautifully done my brother, suggestion for aesthetics and efficiency, instead of doing the outside corner trim piece by piece assemble it at a 90 and cut it to length before installing and then install it as one piece no matter what it will be straight

      @@ssannder And is that how traditional Saunas are made?

    • @ssannder
      @ssannder 10 місяців тому

      @@matsy1000 That's just one way of doing it. It's also good because it makes the air flow in the sauna. Only thing I can say is that I live in Estonia, in Northern Europe and winters here are very cold and windy. I have been using this sauna when it's -15 in Celsius outside and the sauna temperature is +100 degrees in Celsius at the same time. So everything works!

    insulation in a sauna? Nice tutorial tho, but would skip that

    • @ssannder
      @ssannder Рік тому

      Thank you! Trust me, if you live in Estonia where the temperature can go as low as -20..-30 degrees in Celsius then you definitely need insulation because in the end you will spend more money on the fire wood and it will take 2-3 hours more to heat it up without the insulation. And to be honest, I'm not even sure if you can get the sauna hot without the insulation in winter here. But if you live in a tropical country I believe the insulation isn't needed but I would still use it because then I can keep the temperature hot much longer without throwing any fire wood in the heater.

    Peagi plaan ka sarnane ehitus ette võtta. Kuidas see põrand end õigustab? Kas terrassilaudade vahel olevate õhuvahedega sauna tegemise ajal tuul läbi ei puhu?

    • @ssannder
      @ssannder Рік тому

      Need õhuvahed tegin selleks, et maha kukkuv vesi läheks läbi pinnasele mitte ei jääks kuskile põranda vahele hallitama. Õhuvahede tõttu tuleb sauna ka värsket õhku. Olen sauna teinud nii 15m/s puhuva tuulega, kui ka -15 kraadise külmaga ning ei ole kordagi probleeme olnud sauna soojuse püsivuse või kütmisega. Alati läheb ilusti ja kiirelt soojaks. Edu ehitamisel!
