Tip 8… give newbies space… You can see us and I’ve had 1 or 2 guys (& actually 1 girl) being total @$$holes and cutting right in front of me while trying to learn! 90% of kiters have been super helpful, but those few can really ruin your attempts to get better.

makes it look so easy. I can foot swap and jybe, but my tacks are all about kicking the board around.. my back stays to the wind the whole time. i have been trying duck tacks for a few seasons now and getting nowhere. my kite control sucks i guess.

My problem is sometimes I want to carry my kite up the beach without dragging or re-attaching the lines. So I wrap around the bar, and carry the bar still attached, but so far, every time I've done this, I end up with the lines twisted and it's easier just to disconnect and reattach. I'm not sure at what point I'm getting something turned inside out.

When i saw the title... i thought "what idiot cant untangle lines". ....... however this was a good video...... 👍 Maybe the title could be "fixing lines of an inverted kite".

Excellent video - brilliant & so useful for those rare occasions. Prevention is the best cure so it’s minimised, agreed. Q1. When we do carry on sailing with the back line inside (as I’ve done a few times) does this excessively wear the lines out or is it fine for an hour or so on those rare occasions? Your thoughts…?
