    Hi Matt, just wondering if coffee extraction is all manual as I could see in the vid that you're using the lever or is it possible to have constant extraction time programmed?

      Hi Rob, there is no volumetric programming on the 700. As far as I know, all of the Profitec machines are a single on/off lever.

    Kinda unsettling to know that and almost $3000 unit would just be dumped on your doorstep for any porch pirate to come along and take, I hope they’ve change their practices and require sign delivery signature, after that being said, how do you like the unit if you read this, considering on purchasing it but even going a step further and get it with the flow valve upgrade, i’m curious what did you decide to do with the grinder?

    • @mattnierenberg8963
      @mattnierenberg8963 3 роки тому

      Ah, I live in a fairly remote area and it would be very obvious if someone came and took it. Also, always good to invest in a little home security cameras these days! I love the 700. It has been a real workhorse both at home and on my mobile coffee cart. For about a year and a half I was using a Mazzer Robur at home, and then I switched to a Niche Zero last fall. I am fairly content with the line pressure pre-infusion, so personally I don't see the need right now to invest another $200 in the flow control.

      Good question. It is a great machine and I have zero regrets buying it. I think when you are looking at the $2000+ prosumer level machines there is no wrong answer. You are going to get world class espresso out of the 700/ECM, the Lelit Bianca Rocket, the DE1, the Linea Mini, etc. All comes down to looks, functionality for plumping in/draining and what fits in your home.

    Hello there I am using a similar setup. If you are only using 18 grams of coffee try extracting only 20 millilitres, The reason is once the coffee changes colour, you extracting bitterness from the coffee, when the colour changes.. I am using 20 grams of coffee and only extracting 22 to 23 millilitres of coffee, I stop at this point because the coffee changes colour and starts to blonde. It this point the coffee will start tasting more bitter, it's definitely worth trying I found a big difference...
