Film maker from the United Kingdom.
I've been making all different films for over 15 years. I love all things to do with the movie world and trying to make a foot print in a massive world.
I'm very creative and set myself little project to keep my mind busy. I decided to set this channel up to document the strange little things I get up to and hopefully have a bit of fun on the way.

How To Fix an Electric Scooter - Controller? Display? Battery?
Переглядів 5 тис.2 роки тому
Back on the escooters. Just when I thought I was done with e-scooters I get asked to fix one. I was impressed how easy these are to work on. The owner of this brought a new battery thinking this was the issue, it turned out to be an issue with the controller and display, luckily these can be brought cheaply on eBay as a kit.

This electric bike is coming along so well and I'm pleased with how it looks. Looking forward to it finally finished so I can take it for a ride.

65' Chevy C10 Wheel Arch Roll

I helped my brother Bruce roll the wheel arches on his 1965 Chevy C10. Neither of us have ever done this before so we was definitely winging it (excuse the pun lol) Probably didn't have the right tool for the job but mamma didn't raise no punks so we made do with what I had (because the only tool Bruce has is a toffy hammer lol) Had a lot of fun messing with the truck I'd love to do more work o...

Are all scooter controllers interchangeable or do they run different protocols. I have a 36v 350w but it’s limited to 15 mph. It doesn’t even have the bar shunt resistors so I can’t mod that . Any idea what controller to get. Mines rated at 16a.
There are many different controllers to be honest, I'd say if you know what you are doing you can pretty much make anything work. Does yours have the blue loop connected wire? Normally this is your limiter I normally connect a switch to this so I can bounce between the two.
@@russsayscut437 that’s what I wanted to do but it doesn’t seem to have one . The scooter is just a cheap Chinese copy I picked up to mod myself. Can’t change firmware on controller and the settings in the app are very limited so looking at upgrading the controller first. Added front suspension, the rear is on the way. These solid tyres are murder over bumps with no suspension. Thinking of Goin a big bigger with the 8.5 inch wheels as well . I’ve raised the handlebars about 5 inches and put some handlebars off a stunt scooter on as they’re wider
@@russsayscut437 I’d love a ecu but they’re just too expensive atm
Al break yer face ya bastard a just paid £340 quid from scoots partick west end glasgow ..
Hurry up duck head a just wanna know how to fix ma scooter
😂 duck head is a new one. Did you manage to fix it?
Did the calliper rub on the hub as there’s not much room and I can’t get mine to fit
couldn't get it to fit in the end, so had to go with rear disc only. the only way around it is widen the top fork

Do you have the store page for the rim?
Hey, it's just a rim from eBay, I think I paid about £180 for it
really enjoyed this film well done all involved in the making of the film
Thank you, I always so we did well for what we had to make it (no money, no actors and a 8 minute script) we was learning as we went on and I'm proud of it and everyone that helped make it.
Hey mine has “ecu” in red on the display. Is this the reason?
apologies for the late reply, it's been so long since I watched this I can't remember what the issue was I'll rewatch and get back to you. if yours is say ECU I'd say you have an issue with the controller?
Where did you get your tank from please...........
this was a fiberglass tank from eBay, I think I have one left I have used yet along with a frame and bobber seat
Dang .. this grey looks good... I just just painted mine matte black
smart ain't it, really looks cool with satin black forks and seat
Very good
Thank you
Do all ebike front hubs have the ability to install a disc brake? Can I take the disc brake off my front tire and just put it on the ebike front tire? Anything I have to consider when buying it? Thanks.
as far as I know they do yes, all the ones I have built have the holes to add disc brakes. good luck with the build
Freaking Awesome I`m building two same bikes very rough condition and its a great project for my teenage son & I thank you for the vids ... great work !
nice one Maz, appreciated the kind words 🤙 good luck with the builds
She call it the frankinstien its cool
that's a perfect name🤙
'PromoSM'
This thing looks badass in matte .. I was thinking of using Bedliner .. grey or black
cheers dude, its a cool ride 🤙
You didn't show fitting the caliper over the disk. Mine scrapes the motor and I am experimenting with spacers.
unfortunately I could get it on the wheel but not the forks, you'd have to move the brackets on the forks for this to work. I did plan to build my next bike with wider forks and fit the same size wheel that's on the back to the front but haven't had the time to start anything else.
@@russsayscut437 Since I wrote that, Grin cycles came up with a spacer & washer kit to adjust the disk and and axel mounts. I also found somewhere that you could file down the back of the caliper as well without weakening anything. I finally got all the parts, I will update once I get them all together.
that's awesome, look forward to seeing it when it's done 👍
@@russsayscut437 Grin has the annoying habit of coming out with parts just after I bought the last generation. Not only did they come out with a disk spacer kit after I collected the parts from all over, they just came out with a great upgrade to their torque arms. More delays.

Where did you get the vinyl?
I made it and had it printed by a friend
just bought some from halfords for my motorcycle frame..done a test patch and im well impressed with the finish...Made me laugh when you got the plastic stuck on your feet..i think ill spray mine outside when the weather picks up.nice vid ..cheers
I've painted a few things with it now and I'm really impressed, I've tested it on a bike frame and then painted over the top with a different colour and it works well and looks really good. 😂 yes good idea, it's super sticky. I should of used cardboard on the floor 😬 wear long sleeves and definitely a mask as it gets everywhere. good luck with the bike 🤙
Hi Russ. I paid £50 for a mint cond Razor E300 ages ago . The person sold it because the two lead acid batteries were knackered. I put a 48v motor in it and lithium battery pack ( salvaged from broken laptop battery packs ). A 1000watt speed controller gets me up to 29 mph. I did however have to do a little bit of cutting and welding to accommodate the larger motor. Still chain driven and looks stock from the outside. Just added a Razor seatpost and seat and a rack on the back for bread n milk. Might post a video of it on my channel soon. I am now considering copying your build with a hub motor in the future. Good luck with your future creations.
nice one that sounds epic. good idea with the laptop batteries 🤙 there is more videos on this channel how we got the front forks welded
I will have a look for the fork welding video. I have a stick welder and a flux core wire mig welder. Welding is simple if you follow the basic rules. All the best. Looking forward to the next pub crawl you do with your Missus 😂👍
🤣 Yes, the pub crawl is planned again this year, they have added more two more pubs so it should be even more fun 🤣
So bad it's good I ❤️ this stuff matts a legend I love his stuff I can't keep my eye off it tattoo his head thars hilarious
DUDE! I loved your video. Been into customizing Funkos myself lately and I'm happy I came across your video. This deserves way more views than a boring paint drying video! Thank you for the effort you put into your videos and never let shortage of viewings discourage you. I think about this all of the time. Some videos are pointless and get all the views. Your video was not and was enjoyable. I'm also interested to know how you created your stickers for the box. It all turned out great 👍
Thank you that means a lot, I do put a load of time and effort into making these videos and love doing them, if I'm honest lately I have been a little disheartened about the lack of views, to the point where I may just let the channel go and concentrate on something else, I think a lot of it is my own fault as I don't just do one thing and have loads of different things going on and UA-cam like you to stick to one subject but that's not me, I am creative and like to document it. as for the box (I was going to make a video) I basically take a photo of the box, measure it then upload it to Photoshop where I design the artwork, I then transfer it to illustrator where I make a cut file for my measurements and have them printed off on vinyl. hope that helps, Thank you for watching 🤙
@@russsayscut437 Awesome! I would love to watch a video on that. I am trying to make a custom Red Dead Redemption box. I really like that you use stickers as opposed to just paper. Would you mind if I asked for your email address to further discuss the process?
I'll add it to my to-do list as it is interesting and kind of cool. I'm on the Instagram @russsayscut if you need to contact me outside here 🤙
Really enjoyed that, thank you
Thank you that means a lot, it was a great project to work on and we had a blast making it. it was a massive learning curve but what we had to make it we did a good job. thanks for watching
Nice bike bro'' 🙂 How tall are you pease ?
Cheers dude 🤙 I'm 6ft 3"
@@russsayscut437 M'y pleasure, thanks 🤘
why not put the battery in bigger tank, there will be more clean frame and cut the damn seat tube, install tube in tire form like a mudguard
Is that a Schwinn stingray xl? Or the regular size
10 points, yes it's an XL frame, I have another one but not sure if I'll build it?
😎
I really enjoyed that mate. You done a great job. I was entertained the whole time
Thank you for the kind words. the original idea for the film was to make a 10 minute short film about Matt going to prison, Meeting Norman and learning how to box with a boxing fight when he got out, it quickly turned into a much longer project as Matt knows everyone and they all wanted to be part of it which was great but it still had to make sense which become the challenge, I didn't just was random characters in that didn't make sense to the story so it was an on going battle to keep the story following. with what we had to make it with and the fact it was the second film I'd done with no money it turned out really well and I'm proud of what we did.
Good watch this for no budget production! Glad Matt ended up boxing with Norman in Prison as he could have easily ended up another gangland statistic or had a life just in and out of prison!!
Thank you for the kind words it was a massive learning curve and very difficult to put off with no money or experience but it was great fun and loved every minute of it
I found this a charming little indie film, nice one!!
Thank you for the kind words, it took a long time to make and we learnt as we went, with no money so I'm proud of what we all did.
Norman is from where? its obviously somewhere up north.
No London mate he was the governor
well done mate you sorted some tricky problems out with this build you should be proud of your build looks great
Thank you dude and thanks for watching 🤙
I've watched this film cos am a fan of matt . He's a good guy and fighter. Has great tales. Good film though. Well done guys.
Thank you for watching 🤙 yes Matt is a great guy and a true gentleman, he was nice enough to let me base this film on him, it took 3 and a half years to make and was a great learning curve. for what we had to make it it turned out well
🤙🏼⚡ *Lovin the quilted brown leather derails* ⚡🤙🏼 Such futuristic yet classic lookin handlebar, all at the same time.
cheers dude I'm really pleased with how this bike has turned out 🤙
👍 got 20 out of it , not bad
I was impressed I got that as it's only a 250watt motor, it has been limited now to 15.5mph to be legal 🙄 thanks for watching dude

thank you for watching 🤙
howd you get the decals to change the box!?
I made them using Photoshop and Illustrator then had them printed on vinyl
@@russsayscut437 is there a specific template?
@@russsayscut437 if theres no template can you give a tutorial!!
There is as the front of each box is slightly definitely due to the over hang on the funko image. yes of course I can that's a great idea. watch this space and thanks for watching 🤙
@@russsayscut437 Cant wait for the tutorial! thank you definitely subscribing 👍
It's not just magnets, the magnets in the disk have an orientation and the pulses come out in a certain way. That's how it can tell between forward and reverse. And the controller expects a certain order to work. Some controllers can be told to expect a different order.
Thank you for the info 🤙 I did see on the display you can tell the controller if it's 4,8,12 magnets on the disc which I did change to what mine was but I think I will put the original disc back on and see if that fixes the issue 🤞 thanks for watching
The handle bar is pretty, where you get it? I want to do it
The ape hangers 😁 I liked them at first then thought they looked a bit odd, I think I might of thrown them away 😬 sorry. thanks for watching 🤙
I'm building one mysellf was wondering where you bought your rear disk brakes at?
From eBay dude, all the parts on this bike was from eBay. thanks for watching 🤙
But you built your own rear disc brake bracket! That's what I need desperately to finish my build. I've tried all the machine shops around here and know one want to waste their time.
The bracket was from eBay too ill try and dig out the you
@@russsayscut437 thanx Russ I've been want so much to get my bike rolling agian, I've invested alot ofmoney and time, and all that is left is the darn back brakes! I have 2 -1000watt motors,1000 on the front hub. With disc brakes and a 1000watt rear hub motor, 2 52volt 20 Amp hour batteries. And last year I ran into my back disc brake problem.
