Great video! But Peter Beardsley also deserves a mention. He wasnt a target man striker, but was probably the most technically gifted striker of the 80s after Rush and Daglish. Managed to score 87 goals in the first division in the 80s
He’s actually my cousin. And il tell you now. Seriously he still loves a do lol
who bloody cares whilst it was better than the powder puff boring pitty patty football of today worth remembering that it is called FOOTBALL NOT yob ball trying to kick and intimidate other players is simply cheating by inferior players this habit of idolising yob players just gives them approval stick any of them in a ufc cage and they would not last 5 mins
Deserves an Oscar that geezer
Best was not from the falls.
What a legend
Norman Whiteside, Easter Monday 1988 at Anfield. He took out McMahon, Whelan and Barnes
Stan Crowther, Nobby Stiles, Graeme Souness, Jimmy Case, Norman Whiteside, Bryan Robson, Mick Harford.
Mick hartford i always remember
Ha ha ha😂 Billy who
A man must follow his own inclination, hes not harmed anyone
RIP. His speed was truly breathtaking
My favorite player. Saw him at Highbury 1979 Arsenal v Spurs 1-0. Same class as Henry and Bergkamp.
The greatest? 😂
After Lineker ,Barcelona became the 'Dream Team' , proving Cruyff was right...Lineker was brought up in the English game where there was no libero but in the rest of the world like in Spain they played with a libero giving him an extra challenge...Barcelona with Cruyff played a more sophisticated type of soccer from where Lineker came from....Too bad we don't have more Lineker's in English soccer today....
Wee Willie. Wizard on the wing. BOING BOING 🙋♂️
Great Player Managed Super White Army Always In William Hills lol
Brilliant & gifted footballer..double with arsenal 71/72 season
hello sir I'm professional video editor please contact me
You have amazing content but the quality can be improve with best editing styles if u interested do let me know
Brilliant Brilliant player. Seen him at Maine Rd a few times. .
As a spurs supporter I don't mind saying Liam Brady pure class what a player
LB was one of the best in that era. So good.
Amazing also looking back that he could play his style of graceful and skilful football on the state of some of the club pitches that existed in England at the time.
The slide- rule pass. Gascoigne had that too. But that 1979 FA cup final. Brady had controlled the game for 80 mins then it all went Pete Tong with a late collapse. He just controlled it for the last 5 mins so Arsenal won despite themselves. Controlling the game is a rare gift. Brady had it.
The incredible, unsurpassed, unsurpassable, Liam Brady. My father was a season ticket holder way back and he came home one Saturday evening, told me he’d just seen an exhibition he’d never seen before from a kid called Brady. He said this boy literally CONTROLLED THE GAME. He claimed he’d never seen midfield football like it. Brady was always an Arsenal thing and sadly never played in a really good Arsenal team, but he really was exceptionally good. Closest comparison I’d draw is maybe Cruyff. I’d reluctantly dismiss Henry at this level and say only Bergkamp at his absolute sublime best was on the Brady page.
when the fa cup meant something
Remember only Platini replaced him at Juventus
junkie johnston
Another shocking waste!
His humility, charm and simplicity was so genuine and infectious that even the Irish public at large couldn't help but adopt him as almost one of our own, despite breaking our niave yet ambitious footballing hearts in the summer of 1990 with that goal he should have become the villain but instead he was welcomed into our hearts and became somewhat of a mini celebrity, such was his personality. Watching this video gave me some goosebumps, thank you. RIP Salvatore 'Toto' Schillaci
Why do I hate hyperbolic statements, that are about negative things? I don't know, but I am extremely confident, that Glenn Hoddle, did not hate Matt Le Tissier.
Brady was the greatest gunner imo. Unbelievable player. The first premier player to prove himself in Europe. As good if not better than Platini who was considered best in Europe at that time.
fabulous narration thank you
He looks 25😂
Great video of a wonderful player 💪 I enjoyed him in danish tv in the seventies 😃 he is a Legend R.I.P 🙏 Frank
Bit disappointed. Was expecting something magical from Liam. But it was a straight forward pass a bit short, the attacker did well to get it. The rest was ordinary stuff. I thought it was going to be the game, Ireland v Russia in 1973, a game I had the pleasure of being at. He was magical that day with John Giles. The ball seemed to be glued to his foot, but this looked all quite ordinary to me.
May 1979 I was 11, and it was a magical golden era of football. The whole country stopped for the FA Cup Final. Everyone knew every player and their shirt number. I feel blessed I grew up in those times...
Genius
Nobody respects Gary Waniker
"Perfectly weighted pass" It was like 10 yards away "Rix, under little pressure". Eh there were 2 men closing him down where he had to hit it first time.
Glenn Hoddle was a class act and the England team should have been built around such a player and utilised his talent to the max but this didn't happen which can only lead me to the conclusion that Hoddle must have been worried that Le Tissier might have become a hero for England and he clearly couldn't stomach that so left Le Tissier out of his squad after Matthew had scored a hat trick in a friendly before the tournament, so Hoddle's petty jealousy and insecurities deprived the national team of a genuine quality talent.
Amazing player!
15 views, my days, just be 1.5 million
Strange people, proud of being ugly bad persons.
What an incredible flair player and genius coach Cruyff was. But in my very humble opinion he wasn't genius enough to work out that his pass pass pass philosophy would eventually result post Messi in the removal of flair players from football. He wouldn't have played himself in his teams. Anyone who dwells on the ball without passing within a second will be dropped next game and seen as a non team player. RIP football genius.
Liam Brady was zinedine zidane before zinadine zidane
how brave
The narration couldn't be any less boring
Liam Brady was such a brilliant footballer. I don’t believe the Arsenal and a lot of fans today have given him the respect he deserve. I think David Beckham also took many leaves out of his book.
More awful AI narration. Go away!
