    Did you use the original pressure tube? I ask because it was reported that the original Crosman tube is not up to the task of HPA. Check it out yourself at the Gateway To Airguns forum.😊

      Thanks for the visit TC. Yes, it is the original tube. With the valve pinned at the 4 and 8 positions and limiting the pressure to 2200psi, I do believe there is still a good margin of safety present. Close attention to detail when filling, along with periodic visual inspections of pressure-related parts should keep me in the pink. I'm expecting a shot string profile similar to the 3622 regarding performance. Thank you for bringing this concern to my attention. I had put safety on the back burner for awhile.

      Thanks JS, appreciate you taking a look at it. I pinned the valve under the wood line at the 4/8 position. But those set screws would've looked good, as well as strengthening it up a bit. I have a 362 with the aluminum frame, don't know if I'll use it. Lots of small items to take care of before I get to see the performance side of this one.

      @BriceP.O.I. ya I no what you mean. When I build any of my customs if it's not supplied by someone. I build it completely from individual parts it's cheaper and there no left over stock parts. The thing that helps me the most is knowing what can be interchangeable with each model it also allows me to sometimes get the part at a lower price point because some models have the exact same part but is sold at a lower cost because of the model name. Wich doesn't make sense but I notice it's done quite a bit when pricing individual parts. On my 2260 to hpa conversions I use the magnum screws with a discovery valve that I modify similar to the way a boss valve. If you ever looking to make a externally high powered or big bore Crossman the most powerful valve iv used is the Don Catherine discovery power valve. There truly a power house id say the most powerful Crossman/Benjamin valve available for the 22xx series airguns. The build looks very nicely done 💪👌👍💯✌️🫡

    I like it! I am just getting into airguns and I really like working with these Crosman variants. Channels like yours let me see what is possible. I do think I might be a few years behind the heyday. My 3622 is working really well right now making 17-18 ft/lbs and accurate with JTS 16.08 pellets. (1/2" groups at 23 yards and not much worse at 30 yards) .177" ports 2, 000 psi fill, twenty great shots! I put an aluminum breech to keep the weight down. it is topped with a Hawke 2-7x32. It works well for birds, squirrels and rabbits.

    Spousadly if you shoot from indoors to the target out door there shouldn't be much of a point of in packet change. That why sniper shoot from in side building for the most part. Less of a impact on the round in harsher weather. Just a fyi. Fx shots there target indoors under ground and completely controlled environment. When tested. So there resulted aren't really practical in real world use in my opinion. 🫡💯✌️ have a great one till the next one 😊

  • @josephsaucedo8691
    @josephsaucedo8691 25 днів тому

    I like the way you build and how there currently done the best currently done conversion iv no of on video. In my opinion. The only thing in my opinion some of parts/design functions also at the same time restrictive and take up quite a bit of space and possibly performance it could be doing by opening up space and allowing more air flow. Increasing pressure that restricted and less volume make it to were you having to increase psi more than needed to try to achieve the goal. I also want to say not your fault . It's more of the parts that were available / offered or suggested more then likely more available at the time and easier usage. Possibly only conversion parts at that time frame. Only thing wrong with that is they were not intended or built for performance purposes at the time there intension was conversion and functioning to just work. The micro hose isn't really ggod for airguns. It's more for air soft guns. the rest is great. Plenum space. Wich helps to achieve more performance at the same time can increase power easier then Increasing psi both together increase power and performance when balance out correctly. Instead of just adding and forcing really high psi to it. Unfortunately some parts will have to be changed or completely modified to achieve this . For the most part the parts from the tank to the valve. Are holding you back in my opinion from you achieve the type of performance and accuracy your trying to achieve. Or should I'd say make more difficult to get what you want to achieve. Have a great one till the next one buddy 💯👍👌✌️🔫🧐🫡

      Hello JS. I appreciate the kind words and always value your opinion. This particular 2240 is set up for quick change operations, only to test barrels, probes, springs, valves, etc. Ports are approx. .163- .173". Valve has opened plenum area as well as opened exhaust area. Gives me options for large FPS ranges. Also easy to change regs. by simply changing bottles. This barrel was destined for a lower fps gun, but have since changed my mind. It's not accurate enough to feature in one of my builds. The groups were good at 20yds, but opened up at 25.

    • @josephsaucedo8691
      @josephsaucedo8691 25 днів тому

      @BriceP.O.I. I got ya. If you have a discovery valve top on the valve you can gain more even more plenum if you use the discovery foster fill and cap end. It will have the same functionality it also allows for the stock end cap for a stream line look. With the all the testing you do. You should get a ninja flex regulater it's externally adjustable so you can change the out put psi on the fly. When satisfied you can get the set output reg in place. There awesome for just this type of application and using different weight ammo. We'll worth it for testing and using for different builds and applications all from on tank.💯🫡😉✌️👍

    Since you mentioned long range, here’s my stock .177 printing a group on steel at 200 yards. The rifle is probably capable of better grouping than what I shot. My hold favored a little too far left. Think if I corrected the dope on the optic I could have eliminated the need for my hold. Are you you’re running the external Plenum? Also, what reg pressure are you running? I push these at about 850 to 860 with the reg at about 2500 PSI and the hammer spring dialed up pretty heavy. And mine group about like yours at 50 yards. Just wondered if the extra velocity was due to that Plenum if you are running one.

      I no longer see an inexpensive way to build an Avenger similar to this one. AE Swede is closed presently. There is Hajimoto or Terminador Industries available for kits, but they're very expensive when compared to Swede. I would wait to see if he re-opens his site. 😐

      Hello kluper, I've checked around, AE Swede website is still there, but not accessible. It says "coming soon" so maybe he'll re-open it in the near future. That's where you'll be able to get the adapter, plug and bottle band. Regulator and bottle on ebay. If he again offers the adapters for sale, I'll make a video addressing the conversion and parts needed. Thanks for watching!

    I want to build some more Crosman rifles, and I find their barrels lacking, except the Lothar Walther, and I don't think those can be had at a reasonable price any more. I am still exploring options right now. Good work on yours!

    • @BriceP.O.I.
      @BriceP.O.I. Місяць тому

      I agree, the barrel comes first, then the gun. Crosman never really tried to improve their barrels, and for over 2 years the LW's weren't available. All .22's are still loose, even when sending 5.55mm head sized pellets through. That's unacceptable. The Chinese companies have it figured out, even though the chokes aren't very consistent either in length or weight. Still the chances you get a good shooter are very high. Thanks for watching MQ!

I accidently left out the port sizes, so here they are: Valve .170", TP .177", Barrel .165". Other notes: widened, polished, exhaust channel. 20% weaker valve spring, Disco poppet.

      @BackyardDispatcher graet thank for asking and your self? Hope everything go just as great. I agree with you not to offend anyone. I say he is one of the few that does have a good representation of a 2240 conversion and they do perform. Even though some of the aftermarket parts used haven't had the best performance reputation. I know that some slight changes can make any of his builds a real power house . The do nicely from my experience they do tend to be a little more difficult as perform increases the benefit is the amount of knock down power and the ability to use a lot heavier round onec dield in tend to also help with bc and stability in slugs mainly longer distances. For pellets it he already got enough would doubt they my need to be heavier grain. They tend to be difficult to get in high grains in some brands jsb one of the few brand that offer really heavy grain in the pellets. If looking to hunt and change to small big bore marauder what the next build id suggest very similar to 22xx designs slightly different not by a hole lot also many options just like what he has now but the can be more tactical looking if you like that look as I do my self.💯👍✌️🫡

    Looks beautiful. Be careful with that camo wrap though. My father-in-law had a Crosman Storm XT with that wrap on it. It was exposed to humidity and the wrap held moisture, causing the barrel to rust. He didn't even notice till unwrapping it. Just a warning to make sure you don't store it where there is high humidity or take it out in the rain.

      Thanks SA! Concerning the camo tape, thank you for the warning. All my babies (air guns) are treated very well and are kept in a conditioned air environment and are never used in the rain. But here in NC the summer humidity is off the charts, so it's not at all perfect.
