⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ NYC Subway: A, C and E Train Action at Canal St 8th Ave Interlocking (7/17/24)
In this video I decided to go to Canal Street to film the interlocking that exists here. While here I caught a variety of train action. The trains here that I wanted to focus on specifically are the R-46 cars which are retiring as of 2024. We see R-46 cars on the A line which are becoming more and more rare now because of the introduction of the R-211 cars. We also see R-46 cars on the C line which also is going to become more rare as these cars get phased out by 2026. Hope you like this unique video. I might make more like this as the R-46 cars get retired to capture them here on my channel. If you like it as usual click the like button it helps me a lot.

During this time, the R179 cars were NOT in service. This occurred because of the door issue that was found on the C line. The 4 videos showcase the official LAST month of R42 service on the J/Z lines. ALmost all trains seen here are now scrapped or in storage or in work service.
