Kromhout engine build 1938, type 2H3 2-stroke 2-cyl. diesel engine rated 80 HP at 350 RPM max
fantastische machines, toch ... man man man
Love
I love this great sound!
2 stroke he'll yeah. Awesome sound
80 hp........2000 ft/lbs of torque😂
Actually, 1600 Nm, but i don,t know how much ft/lbs that is?
Mooi man, dat vraagt om meer!
Dankje ;F.
gots a BAD rod knock....
MrGGPRI actualy its uneven worn injectorpumpcams why its running heavy on no. 1 cyl. it balances out at 200 rpm. should fix that but the cams are behind the flywheel ( 900 kg) so i havent got to that repair yet.
This is up near Manchester is it? Such a lovely old engine. I am confused by the two wheels in the wheel house. There is the brass one on top and then the ships wheel. Do they do the same thing?
This is Dordrecht in the netherlands, our hometown and also home port of the boat. the little brass wheel is connected to the covernor, and the red handle is the clutch.
Very nice video and beautiful engine.
will be difficult, but there are people all over the world who know how to repair this old technology,or tell you how to do it yourself.I learned it too, but i had a high phone bill for some time and it took me a few years !!!
i looking some mens to repear this kaind of engine
Thank you George, Last winter I was sailing alone. The other pieces were taken during summer holidays or weekend trips with the family, vids were made by several members of the family.
Hi again, So happy you posted more videos of your boat, she's a real beauty, also the river and harbor and open ocean are a very lovely place to sail your boat, were you sailing alone, or did your wife or family member take the video as you were sailing? Thanks again.
Hi, So glad you put more video of your boat engine, and got to see you too, sounds so beautiful, can you tell me what you wrote in your language in English about what you were doing on the video? Also, how much horse power is the engine and what does the blinking slip light mean on your control board? Thanks for posting this, hope to see more.
The dutch text is explaining only basic precaucion jobs , like oiling and checking all runs smooth , important to pump some pressure on the main bearings . The oilcan helps to fill the lubrication pots all over the moving parts , the yellow casing is a pressure lube pump to lubricate the mayor parts
HA HA!! That's wonderful that your wife loves the beautiful sound from the engine and that she can fall asleep, I could listen to it for hours and never get tired of it. I live in the USA and love going to steam and gas tractor shows when I can. Put some more videos of your wonderful little tug, would love to see the area you sail it on
We live in the Netherlands, in a town called Dordrecht which is also homeport of the boat. The sound is restful (my wife often falls asleep when the engine is running slow).
Oowwwww???
So where do you keep the little tug, at a lake in the USA or are you overseas, my only complaint is that the video is too short, I could listen to this for hours and never get tired of it. Do you have any videos of the outside of the tug? Love to see them.
Thank you George,a lot of people react like dancing when we pass by! We own this engine, it is in a little tug we use as a yacht.
Absolutely wonderful, what a terrific engine, I was dancing to it's beautiful sound, where is this at?
when you can manually count how many rpm an engine is doing :)))
This is music to me <3
@bouwnummer9830 Very interesting, thank you. A beautiful old machine thank you for sharing the video
@whorayful @whorayful the first one you see is a check-bowl for return oil from engine to sump(tank between cylinders), the second is also a check for cooling water (engine temp must be regulated manualy)
Very nice machine, what fluid is going through the two sight glasses? the one on the cylinder near the head almost appears to be fuel oil?
Thank you, we agree!
Delicious music
