It was really well explained and I have tried the same. But I am facing an issue in the During statement in the Sagamachine. The During statement is not firing and the cancelled state is not getting inserted in the DB. But the cancel consumer is able to delete the record. What could be the reason the state machine not firing the During statement?

Why do I have to take an exam for these jobs. I have 5 years experience and barely use any of this.

Hello sir, I just implemented the the same, it was working as expected on local. I used one order api, second order validater consumer and third one is saga state machine. The problem is with the IIS hosting .. I tried hosting all of these apis on iis but order validater api is not working as expected. To run the complete flow I need to start the exe of validater api and saga state machine as a service or on command prompt. Please reply how to use these 2 on iis so that everything should work

Nice. I'm glad you started from scratch with no databases created and covered the part where you update the database. A lot of people skip the step where you do 'database update'. If you miss this step, you won't have a database created. Most of the tutorials created the database beforehand as part of their "dry-run" or something and it makes it confusing when you're trying to following it step by step. This is a great quick and simple guide. I copied your run book into my notes for the future. Thanks man!
