That makes sense. I wonder what does there seem to be so much crossover between Indy and F1? The Indy 500 used to be on the F1 calendar and I don’t hear about F1 drivers going to NASCAR when they lose their F1 ride.

I can get onboard with PIA and RUS. Not sure about MAG over NOR?

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast He seems to be the master of the C-tiers, rising in price by 0.5M every race. His value will definitely degrade as the season goes on because budget means nothing at the end of the season, but I think MAG is a great asset to have right now if you can squeeze him into your lineup.

It’s a solid option. If you cashed in VER you could get NOR or RUS and upgrade from SAR. Both HAAS drivers are a good bet. It’s an interesting way to keep VER. What is your total budget?

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast 118M. I could go for a lineup with NOR and BOT instead of PIA and GAS but I can't see much of a points difference between the two and PIA and GAS would be better for budget.

You and Ben really believe in Leclerc. FER just burned me too many times lol. RUS seems a bit low but can’t argue w him being right behind HAM. I think what you have is the way we want it to be. But I’m just not sure about FER and their ability to keep better than MERC.

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast I think my main reason for having the Ferrari boys ahead of the Mercedes boys is because they are better all-around drivers. Russell sometimes struggles with race pace, and Hamilton has lost his quick qualifying pace. Leclerc makes a fair few mistakes, but so does Russell.

That 2xVER paid pretty well! How are you sitting points wise w him?

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast 2x VER earned 70 points, MCL also a decent 67. 178 points all out, so by no means a bad weekend, but I really needed that one good result to get back up into contention for the top 10k in the global league. 35.4K is my current global rank, I have 3x DRS, Autopilot and final fix left, and a 118M budget.

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast Yeah, I'm probably going to buy Magnussen this week. I can barely imagine how good the Haas boys will be in Spa - they get most of their fantasy points from overtakes and positions gained and Spa has plenty of overtaking opportunities...

Interesting options! .FER and MER is a strong and aggressive play right now because if they both do well in Spain their price will jump up 1M and we won’t be able to afford them any more. McLaren and FER are good, but those are counter to any redbull build, so you’ll need to decide which you want to bet on and go with it. My gut tells me that Perez is weak right now and MER FER and MCL are all bringing upgrades to Spain and should increase in value. So Red Bull is a bad bet for the next 2 weeks until we see how much MCL FER and MER improve.

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast Yeah, at the moment my order of constructors would be FER, then MCL, then MER, then RBR. This is supposedly a great track for RBR so we'll have to see... I don't trust Perez either but I might find myself on a RBR FER LEC build.

Oof! That’s rough! I’m keeping my Haas team base but need to reconsider Red Bull. Just for the cost benefit on fantasy.

@@FantasyFormula1Podcast Are you still on a Red Bull and Ferrari lineup? That seems to be the meta in the top 100k. At the moment, I like a Leclerc, McLaren and Ferrari lineup with Stroll, Tsunoda, Magnussen and Hulkenberg, but I could easily keep Red Bull if they seem strong again.

Didn’t realize that Audi was off the table due to time…that’s interesting. So weird to think that Williams is the front runner for him (at least that’s how it looks)

Yep, it's to keep some heat in the tires, IMO it doesn't really matter because they're gonna be cold if you're not pushing them

Yeah hopefully all the negative hype and drama about Vegas will cool soon. Vegas is meant to be the new big race in the USA and once all the issues are worked it will be great!

It does seem like they priced the rest of the field to make Austin a very attractive constructor. I feel like i need more than 20 points for the cost, but they are in a league of their own right now.
