Australia
Приєднався 17 лип 2018
Hi guys, I’m Lachie, a passionate 18 year old mountain biker living on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. I’ve been mountain biking for 6 years and I work as a bike mechanic. I compete nationally in Enduro; the fastest growing style of mountain biking. It’s my goal to create the best mountain bike trail reviews for you all. The trails I review range from green to double black diamond trails, so whether you’re a novice or experienced rider there’ll be a review for you.

Trailblazer MTB Track Review. Tewantin National Park Noosa.
Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 роки тому
Trail blazer is situated in the Tewantin National Park, Sunshine Coast Queensland. It starts from the top of Sunrise Rd and winds its way down into the valley. There is also a climbing trail to get back up to the top. Who is this trail for? If you’re a fan of flow trails, big berms and jumps this is for you. This is one of the best flow trails in SEQ. Don’t let this trail scare you if you’re a ...

The highlight of the trip was riding pipeline. This trail is focused for the gravity enduro riders! Closer parking is available to Pipeline, but if you are parking at the bottom it's about a 20-30min climb. Enjoy!

I live next to here love it
When you say it's good for Families how old are we talking for the younger children?
Im riding this trail next week. Hope it’s good
You definitely deserve more subs, great video
Hey Lachie, about time you did a 'long term' review of your Reign. I got one soon after this video of yours. Mine came with Shimano XTR and DT Swiss 1501's. Never had that issue of brake rub flagged on other videos, and I'm guessing it's thanks to the XTR.
How's the reign holding up mate? Looking at getting adv pro 1. Need something to do everything from trail days to Enduro racing and maybe some dh races in QLD. Reckon it'll be good or look for something with more travel? Cheers.
Great vid and enjoy the commentary
*Reaches the end of trail* Hmm, where is my shuttle
Keep doing it on the summit track
JINKA TRAIL PLS
Lachie your videos are really great and informative. Thanks
Hey mate, not sure if your still making vids. I was just your 300th sub, I live in briz if your keen on a ride?
If you haven't hit up sugar bag road trails. Definitely recommend!!!!!!
I see you used to have the 2015 reign, that was the bike that I last owned and I loved it. Do you rate the 2020 reign? Does it feel similar?
Trail review of Death Adder at Gap Creek?
Picked a great trail mate . K9 is a banger too
Hi, How is the 146mm rear suspension doing with the 170mm in front ? the gap in between the two travels worries me. Have you tried it in a rough terrain with big jumps ?
the difference is how it uses the 146, the one in the video is the 160mm fork from 2020 and not the newer 2021 with the 170. honestly the 146 oddly feels like heaps and actually feels like you get more out of it, than say a 160mm that youl only use 80% travel 50% of the time. it's very quick in cornors compared to a longer travel bike. the same reason the GT force is fast asf too.
Yooooooo Lachie, I’m looking to buy one of these shortly, not sure about sizing though! How tall are you in cm? What size frame did you get? I’m ~186cm but I feel like I’m between Large and XL!
Im 180cm. The reign has a super long reach on them so a Large should be perfect. ( i have a shorter stem) best thing to do is to go to your local giant store and sit on them and see how you feel
The new Whip snake at Ironbark Smaford
So you think a trek fuel xc 8 would you do this track. ?
I do it on a 140mm trail bike you’ll be fine I think
Mate you need a gimble for the videos. I'm getting a headace just watching them but love the sites your showing off 🤙🤙
How do you like the new bike , have seen in some reviews it suffers rear brake rub under load / up hill ? Looking to buy one myself
‘It climbs and descends’! Lol , just like every ad on all mountain bike brands.
Yes it does say that on every ad. But if you have riddin enough bikes you will also know that bikes can climb or descend awful no matter what the ad says. Its all down to how it rides on the trail. And in this case. Giant have advertised correctly with a true do it all bike.
You should of checked out the Dawg while you were here..
Sick and they redid milk made at the Tewantin place if you want to do that!
I was on Road Rage today. Very scenic and varied as you said. It's actually a nicer way to get up to Tazer/Blue Tongue than taking the fire road from the car park . Thursday I'm going to check outt Victory Heights.
It is a really nice ride and glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy victory!
Mate I'd love to see a review of the new Caloundra mountain bike trail. 👌👍 sick vids as well man, I've subbed
Coming soom ...
Siiick
Thankyou
Ive ridden at the glass house mountains they have some they get pretty hecktic at the bottom but there are b line things
I literally live around the corner from this track lmao
Was going today but looks to hard for a beginner
Just slow up the pace, try what you can and walk what makes you uncomfortable.
You should go to iron bark gully and visit the new trail number 12
yeah! 🤘
cool clip 🤙
Keep up doing those trails at Gap Creek! 😃
I see that you gave the Reign a full review! Awesome! Trails look sick in this video too!
Thankyou 😃
Nice video man, trail looks fun. You gave a great review. That's a sweet looking Reign too! Such a fun bike.
You were flying down that! Great job 👍!
Thankyou 😃
Yes very fast indeed. Gee... you ride those berms high 😳 wow. Great vid thanks 👍
Thankyou 😃
Yeah I’ve been on that trail one birm is massive
hey big fella I was riding there yesterday with a few mates
How good is it!
Awesome loved it!!
Thanks heaps 😃
Awesome video Lachie, cant believe how fast you can go down there 😵 . Agree with you though, even downhill beginners can roll down it and it's still a lot fun.
Thankyou 😃 it's definitely a local fav. Great for all riders
That trail is so much fun
Sure is 😃
Just getting in to MTB know of any good beginner spot around Brisbane??
Samford, Daisy hill, Bayview all really good beginner trail networks 😃
@@bikingwithlachie5058 Thanks for the info mate. Keen to give it a go.
Mount Joyce scorpion
When I'm next down that way I'll definitely review it 👍
Wow nice video man
Thankyou
Bro, how many bike's do you have? what suspension what would you recommend for brissie?
I just have the 1 Enduro rig. Iv been through a few though hence why some videos I'm riding different bikes. I'm running fox 36 and fox float on the newest bike. Best iv had yet. Really depends on what sort of riding your doing around brissy and budget to what bike you looking at getting.
@@bikingwithlachie5058 yer nice.. thx for the reply.. don't wanna overbike looking at 100mm or just go all in at 160.. stretching maybe around 6k
@@64nine If your looking at doing alot of big rides with climbing and trails that arnt overly techy I'd go with a cross country bike. If your looking to get into more rough and technical trails but still be able to get to the top of the climb okay go an Enduro. Sounds to me a 140mm all Mountain trail bike would be ideal for you as you get the best of both worlds descending and climbing. With a price range of 6k you will get something really nice brand new
I'm thinking of getting a used one (I dont have 5k to spend)
There's some great value bikes out there second hand 😁
@@bikingwithlachie5058 yeah most reigns on Facebook marketplace are around £1,800
I found all my reigns have been bombproof 👌
@@bikingwithlachie5058 do you have videos of the other ones?
Unfortunately not at the moment but hopefully in the future
Westys at mt cotton
Will definitely suss it out
Great looking colour. Agree with what your saying. I also jumped from a 27.5 hardtail to 29er dual. Loving the difference. 👍
What an upgrade. It's a great feeling
