I bought SVOL on april 1 and again on june 8th and june 17th of this year and have 2600 shares (I like even numbers lol). on price I am down $2524. to date or %4.3. However I have made $5435 in distributions. So I am up on total returns by %4.95. I was down on price even more for a while but its gaining over time. SO far I am super pleased. This is the only alternative fund that I have right now. I am researching others though.

No duh it doesn't keep up to the underlying. None of them do! But as I have told you before I have around 52,000 in NAV erosion on TSLY and have collected around 72000 in divs, so i am around 20,000 ahead, so what does it matter? TSLY will slowly claw its way back to zero NAV loss for me and I will have those juicy div. I get a 5368 div on Dec 2 and use it to pay my house payment. I am interested in BIGY, wow if they can get capitol growth like SCHD or VOO, with a 12 percent return I will buy tons of this ETF. Will have to wait to see how this ETF plays out. Yieldmax is not for everybody, better for retired people like me who use the money to reinvest and I just got back from a months vacation in Europe compliments of Yieldmax! I think they are life changing!

This opinion isn't relevant anymore. Saylor is accelerating the digitization of capital by pushing the entire bond market (billions, then trillions) from convertible instruments into BTC which pumps his stock to ATM and buy more bitcoin which pumps his stock so he can ATM and buy more bitcoin which pumps his stock so he can sell more converts and buy more bitcoin which pumps his stock and lets him ATM to buy more bitcoin which pumps his stock.... You get the point.

The inverse are only good to buy on rallies and sell on dips. A more effective strategy,in my opinion, based on personal experience, is to hedge with a 1.5 to 3x leveraged inverse The risk with inverse Yieldmax etfs is that you can suffer nav erosion on the long and short position and during dips, the increased premiums offset the losses on the long side. I would expect them to be down in a bull market. And you hit the nail on the head-the inverse are short term holds. While Yieldmax is 18-20% of my portfolio, the problem with Yieldmax is that if you spend the entire premium, the portfolio won't retain value. Personally, I've always found its easier to find a bottom than à top. One investment I'm giving a second chance is QQQy-the change in their strategy to weekly pay looks like it's stabilized the nav,so I'm giving a negligible 51 share position of QQQY a chance. It's not investing. It's trading when it comes to inverse unless it's a bear market I've thought about pairing an equivalent dollar amount of YQQQ with QQQY to achieve a market neutral position. Still, buying cheap otm puts on SPY and QQQ or SPXS/SQQQ, NVDS(inverse for NVDA or MSTZ to hedge MSTY) are far superior options,no pun intended I would expect the inverse to do well in a bear market Before listening to the video, I thought you were going to mention TSLY,ULTY,OARK,MRNY,AIYY. I know you're only concerned with total return, but I still consider TSLY a defunct income fund. After factoring in reverse splits, the nav would have to go up over 100% to get back to even close to inception price. I understand you only need to withdraw 8% and you can reinvest or accumulate the other monthly premiums to lower your principal breakeven or save as cold hard cash and reinvest those accumulated premiums during the next 10-15%+ correction. This is,in my opinion, the quickest way to compound and generate more shares rather than dripping at any price. A portfolio with a 25% yield with 1 year of monthly distributions accumulated lowers the principal breakeven by 25% In many ways, saving those premiums has a similar effect to writing covered calls against stock you own. A year's worth of premiums saved with a 25% yield on cost means your positions need to go up 25% less and can go down 25% more and you'd still retain the original principal. I'm of the school in which I only reinvest when the market is correcting by 10-15%+ or a particular security I've been watching has dropped 10-15%+ Investment knowledge 101: if the yield is greater than the total return, the investment is not sustainable. A perfect example would be a 100k portfolio with a 50% yield but a total return of only 20%. Sure, you're getting monthly distributions of 4166.67 but (4166.67× 12=50,000.04) This means the principal investment left would be down over 50%. This is not a sustainable investment. It would be evaporated in a bear market This is why I leverage Yieldmax etfs-it compensates for capped upside and forces me to save a portion of the monthly premiums to pay off the loan. I didn't have to margin them, but these are not the types of investments I'd want to buy with my own money. When the yield is greater than the total return, this does not bode well for bear markets. The entire point of income investing is to more or less retain your principal while making monthly withdrawals. Technically speaking, you shouldn't have to reinvest any distribution. The principal may fluctuate + or 20% but retain most of its value after withdrawing the full monthly distribution. I know based on my experience with the high yield portfolio for the past 2 years of withdrawing and 2.5 years of setting up that if I had saved even 6 months of distributions prior to leaving work, my principal investment would've been down 5% instead of 27% in 2022. A 30% yield lowers its breakeven by 30% after saving a year's worth of distributions. There are all sorts of ways to protect or cushion against downside. A 14% total return with 90%+ less principal is not a good income fund. By this time next year,my goal is to reduce Yieldmax to 10% of my portfolio-not from selling any positions but by organically growing the portfolio by either reinvesting distributions into more conservative 10-25% yields(FEPI/AIPI,SPYT, QQQT,XDTE,QDTE,RDTE and à variety of closed end funds-I may skip adding any etfs associated with options, since I have enough exposure). The ones who are all in on every Yieldmax etf but down 30%in principal in a bull market may find themselves cutting their early retirement short in a bear market

my BDC's are ARCC, BXSL, OBDC,BBDC and CSWC. I am honestly a little heavy into BDC's and should maybe trim one or 2 but for now they are the conerstone of my income portfolio.

I don't like the high expenses of YMAX and the fact that every new long fund gets thrown into the pot. I like funds that are better managed rather than everything in the same pot. Now the 12% funds they have coming out are more interesting to me.

To be fair the covered put strategy in DIPS is not a bad strategy if you think NVDA and its future of AI has reached its peak, and NVDA the stock zig zags lower and lower. DIPS will do pretty well.

@@Income_Architect I knee jerked bought some DIPS after watching your video right before the close today. I'm attempting to own DIPS along side SPXL with SPXL being sp500 3x leveraged. At tastyworks/live its 75% of the full capital. DIPS is 100% of the full capital. So Im playing around with a 3x leveraged sp500 long fund thats 25% discount to hold long term, and own DIPS long term along side it. Net positive delta position overall.
