Great thought. Any metabolic derangement can cause worsening of previous stroke symptoms. In this case the blood sugar is high (may be not too high) and the BP is low which could be the culprit. Other causes (not specific to this case) could be hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, underlying infections, etc. Hope this helps.
