The Plaza Premium lounge is open 24 hours daily however they do state the usage by hours per entry though may not be strict with it.

They have a time limit with 2-3 hours usage per passenger if I recall correctly however if there isn't anyone in the waiting list like my case then you may carry on.

It can be requested as long as your travel date is within a range of days to your actual birthday, you may drop them a request via their website to check on their latest policy but it is not a long period from memory (likely +/- 1 week). The Satay appetizer depends on the timing of your flight, as mine was a sleeper service on a midnight flight there was none, however if it is a day flight there should be. Hope it helps!

The buffet is available for all once you gain entry to the lounge, on paper it should be 2 hours but doubt it is strictly practiced. If you are accessing with your credit card benefits, typically guests can also enter at a discounted rate. Hope it helps!

A 2 hour entry is currently priced at RM243 as per Plaza Premium's official website, alternatively complimentary access is possible if you have certain credit cards.

This lounge is located at the mall adjacent to the terminal building. The old Plaza Premium at the airside that you’re referring is not operational now.

@@Ramu-ds5bw If you are planning to clear immigration during transit then this Plaza Premium Lounge is accessible. Otherwise, there is a Travel Club lounge available at the International departures area.

As this lounge is located at the mall next to the terminal building, it is up to your preference nevertheless upon entry the staff typically asks for your boarding pass (electronic is fine too) or flight details.

Nope, from my experience as long as you have access to the lounge, shower facility is included and you just have to let the staff know.

I have yet to do so myself but heard it is possible with credit card access upon arrival.

Yes indeed, upon arrival from your international flight you will need to head to the departures level at the main terminal and locate the lounge before clearing immigration for your onwards domestic flight. It also depends on your connection time as you might want to allocate some time to perform the needful (ie: immigration and transfer to the domestic departures).

Given the short time you have to spare, I would recommend deciding based on your departing terminal. Both T1 & T2 at KLIA have Plaza Premium Lounges which are fairly similar in buffet offerings though food at the T1 PPL seems to look and taste slightly better during my visits, might also be due to the fact that the lounge at T1 is newer. 😅 If you're departing from T1, can also consider Plaza Premium First over the standard PPL which is just next to each other and they serve ala carte food there.

Is there a lounge before going to airside? I mean before going into immigration.

There is a Plaza Premium Lounge before immigration / departures at Terminal 2 but none at present for Terminal 1.

It was too short of a flight to enjoy this cabin for sure 😅, though still a great experience nonetheless.

Yes indeed, the birthday cake request was done in advance before departure and should be fine as long as the birth date is within a few days from the day of flight.
