PETE WYLIE & WAH! Getting Out Of It:
Taken from the 1991 album "Infamy - or How I Didn't Get Where I Am Today.
I OWN NO RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC: I merely decided that it was too good of a song for it to not grace the world of You Tube.

My best friends grandparents had the shop on the corner of Bond St. They were called Delaney I think.
Thank you for this Ed ❤ I still live in Walton and my family going back a few generations lived and worked in and around it too. my grt grandad was a carter and walked the length and breadth of Liverpool before and after WWll.
Glad I've stumbled across this. Ive lived in Walton for 48 of my 50yrs and worked on Stanley rd, mum worked in Gwladys St school in the 60s and early 70s then returned to work there in the 90s and noughties. I was hoping there may be a photo of b0mb damage to houses on Norris Green Crescent (my grandad lived there with his family and their home took a direct hit, the b0mb didn't detonate but fell through the roof and landed in the rooms below. My grandad was on fire duty in a different part of the city when it happened, someone got word to him and he ran home to his dad and siblings. Grandad left to fight in the far east from 1942-47 (the latter two years were spent participating in the 'clean up operation' as it became known to service personnel. He returned home to Liverpool, had a fantastic family and passed away with us all around him aged 99 in 2023. 'UBIQUE GUNNER".
Anyone know the period(s) these photos cover? This Yank was in Liverpool for two weeks leading up to Christmas 1981. Fantastic time! I remember the Salvation Army (?) band playing at the intersection of White Chapel and (__?__). Did a decent job with my first-ever Yard of Ale!
This never gets old. Makes me laugh, every time. I sing this song, most days. And I rub my tummy at the end.
Went past The Mons on my way to Britsh American Tobacco every day for 22 years. Not thought about that in years. Thanks for the post.
Absolutely wonderful memories thank you so much 🫶🏻🌟🫶🏻🥰
This was on my beat, from Westminster Road Police Station, when l was a young officer, back in the day..loved it, and the people..x
Anyone remember Rockford's Discotheque in the city centre?
That could have been my dad in the photo of Gwladys street school, crazy to think that, and mum played in the bombed out houses in Kirkdale as a little girl. Thanks for the video. Wish I could have showed them it.
Born in Melrose Avenue in 1964. Unfortunately never seen a photo of it. Westminster Road school for a while then Mam moved us to Seacombe for an indoor loo. 🙄 If anyone has any Melrose Ave photos would love to see them. 😃
