    When multimeter is on 2M I don't have any signals but when I put it at 2k I have on 1-2-6 pins, nothing on 3, does that mean my relay is dead ? Thanks for answering

    • @blacklistgarage
      @blacklistgarage 5 днів тому

      It looks like your relay may indeed be dead or malfunctioning, especially since pin 3 shows no signal. Try measuring a different one and compare the results.

      @@blacklistgarage I don't have any others, that's why I ask before buying one, but I think it's really dead I had errors about that with ISTA and cold start is hard. Ty for your video, really helpfull

    At mine 5 pine have 13m ohm m57 its good or ? Other pins 9.3m

      These values may suggest an open circuit, meaning the relay is likely faulty. Try measuring a different one and compare the results.

    what does it mean when the 5th pin has 18.6ohm reading on 4 cyl engine? Short?

    • @blacklistgarage
      @blacklistgarage Місяць тому

      If you measured like in the video it may not indicate a short, but rather a damaged or partially burned out glow plug, since the resistance is unusually high. Try with a different relay and compare the results.

      @@blacklistgarage The new relay had reading of nothing on pin 5. The old relay had reading of 18ohm. Curious as of why, the old one did not work.

    So the 5th pin shouldn't have a signal at all on 6 cylinder engines?

      For those with 6 cylinders, you should have a signal on the 5th pin

    I just changed my mass air flow and air filter. Still sporadically hesitating. Was wondering if I need to change the fuel filter?

    • @blacklistgarage
      @blacklistgarage 2 місяці тому

      Ideal is to change it every time you change the engine oil but you can change the fuel filter every two engine oil change.

      So like what every 15000 miles?? That’s insane, I wouldn’t recommend it more than every 50000 miles fuel filter don’t go bad or get clogged that fast, if you have to change it every other oil change then get your gas somewhere else

    Do you need to perform fuel bleed?

    • @blacklistgarage
      @blacklistgarage 2 місяці тому

      If you have INPA/ISTA ideal is to do it...if not, you can start the ignition on and off 2-3 times before starting the engine...wait around 3-5s on every ignition start then switch it off and after doing that 2-3 times you can start the engine. The engine should start on the first attempt but sometimes it starts on the second attempt

      @@blacklistgarageis 5 lit enough?

    • @blacklistgarage
      @blacklistgarage Місяць тому

      @@seadsalihovic47 BMW recommends 5.2 liters of oil. You can put only 5 liters but, there is a risk that the oil level will be too low and it will not provide optimal protection, especially under high temperatures or during intense driving conditions. If it's only for a short period of use, the engine will still run well, but it's not advisable in the long run.
