This was 2 years ago but I think your profession as a music teacher has stances on music very differently from like say a producer as your more critical about the arranging or layering which goes against the whole point of guilty gear's music, for me personally the messiness and generic parts of some songs is a genius writing choice as most of the music is extremely unique and sometimes even off putting to normal people. I really appreciate how Daisuke falls into norms and then immediately breaks that formality like being the "Mirror of the world" but maybe its just a matter of taste, since I'm not picky at all when it comes to music. Though this is just my opinion to each their own.

I've always seen the "childish" bits in this song as a distraction, this song is very much so Bridget voicing her dysphoria and trying to work out how she deals with it, and dysphoria is by its nature uncomfortable, so she tries to distract herself by talking about other things that she doesn't like about her life like the taste of vegetables or her alarm clock being too loud, additionally the santa bit both connects to the "I already have the gifts just can't open the box" line, and has symbolism with that line where she's realizing theres no magic moment that's gonna solve these problems for her, and she doesn't need one, she has the tools to get over this, to open the gift per se, she just needs to realize she can.

It's interesting to me that you're not as big of a fan of the "tastes like vegetables I don't like" and "hate the alarm clock I chose" lines. For me, those are really important lines to the overall themes of the song, because specifically they come after her saying "I never found what it was I-" which to me, refers to her suffering. She never found out why it was that she was suffering, and the song is about her growing from that suffering. This is proven when the first time she says that, she says, "it's my stress, that's for sure." Every time she even approaches the source of her stress after that, she has to brush it off with a little joke. At least, until the final verse, where she says that she can feel the light even after the sun goes down. To me, this feels like she's finally taken the time to address her situation and come to terms with it.

Helpful tip: The velocity/pressure sensitive sensors are on the bottom half of the keys. So if you dont want to press too hard on the keys, try pressing them like an old laptop trackpad (its kinda "hinged" on the top part and the sensor is on the bottom part)
