Let's Go Roamin
Приєднався 20 сер 2023
Hello. Welcome to Let's Go Roamin! We are Chris, Annette, and Piper (our dog). We have decided to break away from the daily hustle of life and to start living it. We are experiencing the many sights, history, and peoples of our country by traveling in a adventure van. We will be posting our excursions. We have a cocker spaniel who we think is so cute that we will include her in videos, too. We also play around with a jeep and will post about that from time to time. Basically, we are trying to live by Robert Frost's words … "two roads diverge in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference".
Travel Day to the Great Sand Dunes
We leave Durango and head across southern Colorado to Alamosa, the town east of the Great Sand Dunes National Park. We stopped for a hike along the way and crossed over the Continental Divide. Another first occurred for us: we stayed at a Walmart parking lot for the first time.

We stopped in Durango for a few days on our National Park circuit trip. Durango is between Mesa Verde and Great Sand Dunes National Parks. We stayed at United Campground, about 4 mile from downtown. We also did a history walking tour of Durango. Unfortunately, the area was expiring a heatwave and we become super uncomfortable in the van the AC started making weird noises. So, we decided to leav...

We are on our trip to see my nephew graduate from Marine bootcamp in Parris Island, South Carolina. This video is our drive through North Carolina and the Appalachia area.
It's neat to see the famous train pass right by the campground, Annette and Chris. We've been on it before and loved it. Fun tour of Durango and lunch looked wonderful! The museum is interesting and we love visiting old hotels such as the Streater which we've never been. May have been the "Riff Raff" thing.🤔 Shame about the heat and we're looking forward to seeing the Great Sand Dunes NP. Never been.
We want to see more of Durango. Not sure when we'll make it back up there but hopefully, it will be when the weather is cooler so we can stay longer. Thanks for watching!
Love the thumbnail! If you head east towards Show Low, you are welcome to stay @RidgeValleyRanch.
Wow, thank you for the invite. We have Show Low on our list of places to explore in AZ next spring/early summer.
Love the Desert Museum there outside of Tucson. We winter south of there near the border and visit every year. There's many places to boondock there close by near Arvica or Patagonia. Other places too but these areas are much more remote and scenic. The buffet is good at the casino, but a little pricey. Loved coming along with you and finding your channel. Looking forward to seeing many more in the future, Toots, Annette and Piper!
Two Tramps for the price of one. Subscribed, dinged the bell and always watch in full on both of our channels.
Thank you for your support! Greatly appreciated.
The patagonia area is on our list to visit in the future. Thanks for the info about the many boondocking spots.
@@LetsGoRoamin It's beautiful there!
Oh, Oh. Last showers! 👃👃The folks at the conference will love you Annette! 🤣🤣And it's funny that at the end you call Piper the stinker! It's a fun and interesting park and as you mention Route 66 runs right by. Been there many times. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
LOL! It was our last showers just for a few days. ... and Piper acts like a stinker a lot. She's actually very bullheaded and sweet at the same time.
Hello Chris, Annette and Piper. Looks like a nice RV and a fun time ahead!
Hi! Thank you for your comment. We are enjoying the RV so far.
Fun and informative tour. Jordon did a great job from a local, cultural perspective. FYI - To the best of my knowledge you do not need a permit to film a YT video in a NP, unless you're going to monetize it. On our other channel we just leave the monization off, on video's that include a National Park. You'll never make enough money to justify the cost of one, unless you're really big. Beautiful campsite and area. Pancakes too! Enjoyed the video Chris, Annette and Piper.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. We appreciate the feedback.
What about Sprinter issues.....
The Revel was a 19-foot Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It had 4WD and a lift. One thing that may annoy others, but it didn't really bother us, was a lag between pushing the pedal and the engine responding when needing to speed up to merge/enter highway. Other than that--the Mercedes was great.
Did you buy the Revel sight unseen?
We bought the Revel at an RV show so we were able to walk through it and test drive. We were looking to do more off road and remote. It turned out we really weren't that much into ruggedness. So we looked for a van with more amenities and leisure.
I feel like a lot of the issues you had with the Revel could have been foreseen.
Much better than the first one , Good choice
Awesome video! Thanks for showing us around, will definitely put this place on our "to visit list". 😊
Thank you for your comment. We just started posting a few weeks ago and want to continue posting weekly, if possible. We recently traveled around Colorado for a month and hope to post those adventures soon. Take Care!!
@@LetsGoRoamin awesome! Can’t wait 🤙🏽
May have had rice a roni! Now I see you called Chris Toots !
Promo-SM 🙄
I beat you to these mountains back in the mid 60's. explored around the remote areas where you NEVER went alone or unarmed. Strange things went on in those mountains. missing gold seekers, gunfire at night while camping and strange seekers spotted but not approached. No tourist centers and no "shows". from what I've heard this is still a dangerous place to go in remote areas. "Lost Dutchman Mine" A myth or not.
