I am needing to heal more from another wound from years ago when I decided to begin dating someone who I had some red flags about in terms of drinking alcohol and prematurely sexual behavior. I beat myself up in terms of regrets, second- guessing my decision to date her 38 years ago. As I examine that now, I see more clearly that I need to be thankful for that scar NOW, seeing that is what Jesus did by dying on the cross. He showed me the WAY. I see now that that decision, in the BIG PICTURE brought me to the present where I have a son and a new life with my wonderful son, a result of my faith in GOD. God carried me through those rough times of being separated from my wife, wandering through life alone and without purpose. But now, 3 years after cancer took my wife, I am rebuilding my life with raising my son, I have my own family, my wife’s wonderful family, and a devoted, loving girlfriend who loves me so much! Thank God that he carried me when I had no faith and showed me how to live with scars NOW. I am becoming thankful for my scars now too! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
