A forward swept wing has a high likelihood of stall without airspeed. The plane was underpowered just did not generate enough airspeed and he stalled it. Very sad.

Unbelievably bad camera work here. I don’t care how unfamiliar you are with cameras and videography, but why the hell would you ever take your focus off of the main subject that needs to be videod???? Absolutely inexcusable camera work here, by any standard. What the hell were even going to look at??? What could possibly be taking your eyes off of the damn plane??? Insane, just insane.

I’m very sorry for the pilot, my deepest condolences to his loved ones and his family... but everything that we don’t do specifically for the sake of humanity, all this is done by the will of fate and with an unchanging purpose... and I assure you all, he did not die in vain... a real Hero!

I just found about this plane and was excited to see someone was building it, but article was written before the crash. I come here and see this sad news. Hopefully someone else can pick up where he left off and revive the project again.

You need to copy/paste better from that website. Website states 900ft you are writing 3600ft. They wouldn't have survived that because they would first have hit the access road and then the highway.

Pilot/copilot on radio seems very nervous.

stall speed on a taylorcraft is like 46knots.. maybe less its a very safe airplane for the 1940s

There is captured audio from the ground of the last moments of the flight. You can hear the engine race as it accelerates and heads towards the ground before it breaks up in the air.

Absolutely excellent witness account. Very calm, collected and intelligent communicator.

The windscreen/cockpit looks to be mostly intact… wondering if it broke apart in flight?

R44's are death traps.

You'd figure with as much "research" as reporters and journalists supposedly do, they'd at least have learned something about... anything. Researched this. The pilot used "standard weights" instead of embarrassing himself and his passengers by making them get on the scale. At no time was it possible for the four tubbies to have met CG and balance the plane. The final nail on the coffin was a jacked up final. At three different times he should have just reset or gone around, but it never occurred to him: Initial lineup was on the wrong runway. Saw parachutists coming down next to the threshold. Was almost 1.5 runway widths off-center over the threshold. Again, it never occurred to him to go around. He was still trying to land it. Stalled the wing with the last maneuver. Planted it.

You can see when all 10 weapons are firing the Canon close together and the other just cover yhe vessels especially if more than one aircraft is firing the ships have no chance
