The Creatures - Flesh
Track #10, the final track from their first full-length studio album, Feast (1983).
This upload is from the album's only CD mastering, a Japanese issue from 1991 (Polydor - POCP-2073). It's a beautiful and a dynamic mastering, and beats every other upload on UA-cam. Personally, I consider it better than the remaster from 'A Bestiary Of' (1997).

Track #4 of their final studio album, 'Hái!' (2003). Also released as a standalone single with a different mix and a radio edit. This is the original album version.
The Creatures - Godzilla! (Budgie's Tokyo Fist Mix)
Переглядів 1014 місяці тому
Originally from 'Godzilla! - CD3' single (2003). The album mix can be found on 'Hái' (2003). There are other uploads of this on UA-cam, but they either cut on the middle or have bad sound quality, so I decided to upload a better copy.

Thanks for this! I just switched from a terrible sounding upload of the official video.
I saw Butthole Surfers at the Greek,The Toadies opened.Hell yeah!
Never heard of this group before but they have a cool sound
Marc and Siouxsie should have released this together
The best version!!Thank you for..
To my ears, THE BEST version. Budgie did a great job engineering this one. If The Banshees hadn't disbanded in 2002, I truly believe this song could've been a S&TB single, in 2003. One of my favorite Siouxsie vocals from her entire catalog. Thank you again...
You're onto something there! On an interview, Budgie has said "Godzilla could have been a Banshees' track but I'm not sure everyone in the band would have liked it..." Well, following the 7yr Itch it seemed like the grudge between them and Severin was at an all-time-high. At least Siouxsie and Severin buried the hatchet years later, as far as I know.
fuck me gently with a chainsaw. this is fabulous. i have all 3 godzilla cd's and have been a fan of them for years. had no clue this even existed. thank you!
I'm glad you've finally been able to hear it, but how can you not be aware of this if you have all of the Godzilla singles?!
I smoke a lot of bud. Got no clue why I posted that. so shameful@@saveicon

@@saveicon what is your favorote creatures album
@@joeydemento6839 Probably Hái!, if I have to choose. What’s yours?
I loved this from when i first heard it in 1998, love the unusual intro staring slow suddenly buildling up pace. Album was a bit patchy, Boomerang my favourite creatures album. Anima Animus picked up influences from the time, llike portishead, Garbage. Some tracks have dated , this still packs a punch. Fantastic video by VIctor bulot too. This reminds me of banshee songs like candyman that have unusual unexpected key changes almost like three songs in one.
Pj Harvey, portishead, perfect night :)
I still have the cassette of this album. Still love this song! Bought this when I was in college. <3
The young Bjork HAD to have been inspired by this. I also know that this record was made in Spain, and also that one in Bjork’s albums was also recorded in there. This entire album was utterly visionary in style. Almost entirely percussion instruments. It sounds almost as if The Muppets did acid and then got lost in a rain forest. And the Muppet's names were Siouxise and Budgie.
Love
I was there. Backstage and all.
Amazing track ❤
🤗🙂
Essa eu não conhecia. Amo loucamente essa música
Beth delivers emotion like no one else
fantastic !!
I have a question: from where this version was captured? Any demo cd was released? Thanks . Carlos.
Hello, there wasn't ever an official release for these demos (apart from the demos of 'Exterminating Angel'), and I don't know how they originally got surfaced. I've just found the circulating files online and decided to upload on UA-cam.
There's bad music, there's stupid idiotic music, there's even strange sounds parading around calling itself music. This is not any such imposter. This is respecting music enough to compliment it to the point of keeping it forever in your heart. Music could possibly be the blood holding us all together.
Some musicians create things anew. These Creatures know more about music and artistic ability than anything I've ever heard on the airwaves. As for Siouxsie Sioux, the most underrated and underappreciated artist of all time, I'd follow her anywhere.
Thanks for your comment. I completely agree, forever grateful for her existence.
Techno Siouxsie! I like.
It still blows my mind that this single wasn't a hit on the radio in The U.K. and The U.S. Although, I would've encouraged Siouxsie and Budgie to name the song, "Sad Punk", that way, it would be a nice, happy medium between the 2 original titles, and would've been more welcomed on the charts. I'm still surprised that, in 1996, when Sioux and Budgie were shopping their demos around record companies, that, like in 1978, The BBC didn't pounce on the prospect of giving the duo a home. It would've been just as subversive a move in 1996 as it would've in '78.
I agree, but I kinda like the vulgar title, I feel like it was even more a "fuck you" to the record companies by Sioux at that time, haha!
I still hope to see/hear Siouxsie perform this song live, in the future. My favorite demo from this era is, "Another Planet". Parts of it are even better than the official released version.
Would love to hear that demo. I also hope there will be future performances/albums but since all we got was Love Crime after claiming she's not "finished" years ago, I'm not sure if she'll continue making music anymore.
Budgie is one of the best modern percussionists.
I like this as a sadcunt
thank you for this

Hey creepo's I'm talking to you I've got a message To give to you You've got a problem We know But there is something You ought to know Standing there Across the thoroughfare They stand and stare With that gormless air So funny to see how dumb some grown men can be An unwanted weed A dying reed Left to consider life As it passes by Ignoring your calling Ignoring your taunting Ignoring you feelings Of self-hate and loathing How empty and pointless your life must seem See them standing See them staring See them wearing that same stupid face Sticks and stones May break bones But these taunting crones Only cause inner groans We ignore all your calling Ignore all your taunting Ignore all your problems of Self-hate and loathing Some body should show them where to go See them standing See them staring See them wearing that same creepy face Standing there Across the thoroughfare They stand and stare With that gormless air Does what you won't understand scare and make you mad? Resentful and envious, don't you disgust yourself? So funny to see how pathetic some men can be. See them standing See them staring See them wearing that same stupid face Ignore all their calling Ignore all their taunting Ignore all their faking Their self-hate and loathing Some body should show them where to go
3:29 "Attack Of The Super Vixens" begins. love the line : "Like a banshee howling at the moon or the creature from the black lagoon..."
❤ this!
That is great! Is it released? Can I find it somewhere?
Except for the Exterminating Angel (limited cd named "4 obscure objects of desire"), none of these Anima Animus era demos are officially released, but they're roaming around the web. I don't know how they got surfaced originally.
@@saveicon BTW Exterminating Angel and That Obscure Object of Desire are both masterpieces of surrealistic director Luis Buñuel. Just in case..., but the first reference is cited as an inspiration for Sioux Extreminating Angel lyrics in the Anima Animus album's booklet. Also a masterpiece as well as Boomerang and Hai!
@@saveicon Actually, as the 1995-1996 Gifthorse demos were recorded on digital ,, they might be released one day on a deluxe edition, these early versions are fab'
@@carljules3123 Well, fingers crossed for reissues (extra material like these would be a nice bonus) of their discography, which is long overdue!
