me and my girlfriend baked christmas cookies this year and we'll surely turn this into a tradition!! we also love to drink eggnog before going to sleep i always watch thor ragnarok during new years eve, since my family hasn't been too excited about it, at least i can watch a fun movie with my dog! +me and my girlfriend enjoy making vision boards for the next year, i think it's a nice way to visualize what plans you have and it gets me excited for what's about to come

When we were younger, my older brother used to wrap up a roll of toilet paper as a Chrissy present to my dad. One year my dad unwrapped it, put a $100 note in it and rewrapped it without my brother knowing. He opened it, acted all surprised and all. In my state in the US in 2021 in February there was a really big freeze and everyone was using their heaters and the grid went down for a week. My family stayed in one room with a gas heater and like 4 layers of clothes. We couldn’t shower either because the pipes under our house burst because they froze so bad. Mind you this is Texas where car tires melt in the summer time! Your story reminded me of that. We survived but we had a couple neighbors who passed away.. 😞

So ready for this to be my coming down from all the Christmas craze! Not everyone in my family is Christian so instead of saying grace/praying before eating, we say what we’re grateful for and then eat. Kinda like Thanksgiving it it’s another way to show how blessed we are even before the gifts!

My family doesn't have much in terms of Christmas traditions, but my extended family does make a turkey every Christmas. Are Christmas movies much of a thing there? We always watch tons of Christmas movies leading up to (and even after) Christmas, but ours are all wintery of course. I'd love to see a Hallmark Christmas movie set in Australia lol. It’s so wild to me that Christmas is hot there, which of course makes sense given you’re in a different hemisphere than North America! Hah. Just wild though. Christmas tradition? We don’t really have many, other than the typical ones… but a few years ago, we made a giant “Christmas meatball” with the leftover meat from the smaller meatballs. We convinced my wife it’s a tradition of ours to eat a giant meatball. She believed it, and the gag went on for too long. Now it’s a funny joke we all laugh about :) merry Christmas Bozos. And to all a goodnight!!
