You know, you can get what Light Phone offers from a few WIndows OS Lumia phones with 4", 4.5" and 4.7" screens. They are small, have 4G, no social media works on them anymore, and they still have great cameras even today. For 2024 they are dumb phones.

There's no Audio Jack. This is a huge issue for me. I hate dongles. Everything else about it is great, and I personally could do without the knob.

Still using my Q10 in 2024. I like it better than Q20 (which I tried and returned) cause it fits better in my hand and I could use one handed when needed.

Hello, please help me with an answer: 1. At mine the wi fi doesn t work, it connect and appears on the right top but doesn t work in any browser. Is over for 2024 the wi fi or mine have a problem? 2. UA-cam doesn t work neither with cellular data (i mention i don t have bb ID account created) Any ideas?

I am excited for this device but in order for me to cancel my LP3 order and go with the Kompakt it has to have some sort of directory tool like the LP3 and directions, I don't want a browser of any kind on this device because its a time waster, but a directory tool is really useful, I love it on the LP2 its nice to be able to look up phone numbers for businesses and restaurants on the fly without getting sucked into a browser

Real question. Could this function as a home phone? I use only a smartwatch with e-sim for phonecalls etc, however im forced to have a android device to run a app that basically controls the smartwatch. I was thinking of getting a Palma to call with when im home, seeing the battery of a smartwarch plummits on long phonecalls. Basically i wana know if there is a surefire way to make phonecalls using for example the home WIFI with the Palma. The reason i would preffer this over a actual smartphone is because i use kindle and kobo ALLOT and would love a smaller device for on the go, and i hate reading on phone/tablet screens. I dont use social media, heck im typing this on my laptop XD

I resonate with some of the points you raise in this video especially the putting on weight part. Since i retired from work i kinda felt lost for the first few weeks. It was easy to stay in bed longer in the mornings, slouch about the place, eat too many snacks. Yep me too. Over the last couple of weeks I've been developing a new daily/weekly routine. Part of this is going out every day for walks, even on days when it's raining, i was so lazy, eating healthy and less, and journaling. I can't keep a health journal as the figures really depress me, especially when things slide, it affects my mental health too much. My journal is really a daily recap of what I've done and keeping everything positive and i found this is really working for me. This week I've increased my walking the last three days and i can really start to feel the difference already. I've always appreciated how much personal stuff you divulge in your videos and i know you're going to smash it on your goals. Hope you're having a great week. Take care 🙏

I owned a Q10 when it came out and the lack of home button was a miss.

i try to avoid products that support china because of the terrible human rights situation in that land. my current situation with phones is i have an old google pixel at home without a sim card (got before i started being interested in how my money flows into different abusive regimes) and i have a nokia dumbphone for my daily carry. i may get a 4g dumb phone at some stage to be more available. when my pixel stops getting updates i'll have a look at something like the fairphone (unfortunately also made in china) or the samsung devices made in south korea and vietnam

Be careful with looking at weight. Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you move more and get more muscle your weight will go up but it will be healthier.

Try to run slow/walk for some hours, on the nature/mountains. Being slow means you will burning mostly fat as also help your body to enter in ketosis, to burn fat. Then on the food, you can try a low carb and eat more fat, to be on ketosis so your body burn mostly fat, which is good for mental health as also for physical health. Here, you should measure your ketones to make sure you are on ketosis/ eating low carbs, you do it with the cheap Ketonix device. Low carb ketosis is a good pair with slow long runs/walks and mental health!!

S3 had either 1gig, or the S3 Neo 1,5gig, , haven't heard of a 2gig version. :$ Had a Neo, and installed LineageOS, android 9 or so? Was not bad, but for my taste too limited on the hardware side, and too many small bugs. :/ Got a Sony Xperia X Compact instead.

Great to see the minimal team finally showing some pics and videos of the prototype phones in action. It seems like they're roughly at the same stage of development as Light Phone III and Mudita Kompakt. On the minimal phone discord, people are getting more excited now that there are a few photos and videos of the phone. There was a big debate when the founders proposed a poll where the phone might ship without Google play (and use microG instead), however the majority voted against that idea.

This phone is supposed to support google play. There is no information about this phone on the official google play support page. I wonder on what basis it will be done?

The prototype is not difficult to make. Here is shown a regular Android (AOSP) with the application uploaded. The main problem will be the software and getting a huge number of certificates. It may happen that the phone will not work on different networks. The software will have to be adapted to eink otherwise it makes no sense.
