II'm playing this on a PS5. I'm glitched out at @13:04. When I'm there the monster is there and the switch @15:38 is at the bottom instead of the top, I do it twice and the lights don't turn on, I hear the bell ring and the sound of lights turning on (but it doesn't), theres no dialogue or cutscenes just the monster camping your area. Once passed the monster I turn off the steam @17:44, go to the ladder @18:29 but it doesn't allow me to climb it. I can't even get close to it because theres an invisible wall blocking me. Also if I get killed by the monster the game puts me by wheel for the steam @17:44. I tried everything, I had to watch a few videos on YT and noticed your play-through & others, the monster isn't there, there is dialogue and a cut scene after you pull the switch, and you can climb the ladder. My game is totally bricked. I'm going to have to put it to the side for awhile and I refuse to watch the rest of the game on YT after where I'm stuck at (btw I have all this recorded).

I have to admit, every time you swam past the reactor breaches and went "Nope, not missing anything here" I laughed out loud. 😁🤣

On the plus side, you discovered that the game keeps you in the known map by sending you Ghost leviathans. That one was particularly aggressive, though. Yikes. There are other Ghost leviathans you'll encounter in due course, but they're typically not as large and grumpy.

So I recorded about 1 hour and 5 minutes of content then my screen froze and i couldn't get out of anything so had to reboot. This caused my mp4 recording to corrupt but I was able to fix it with another program. Not sure why the video stopped recording like 10-15 minutes before the screen actually froze, but here is what I got so far. Needless to say I wasn't to happy and haven't went back into the game to see when the last save was. Enjoy and Hope you all have a great day! When you build your base and then construct the "Unusual Doll" somewhere within the base, you'll be able to interact with a talking bobblehead and then you'll find out who it is, no spoilers from me. He DOES look a little like Joey Fatone though, that tracks. Big N'SYNC fan? They had some bangers for sure...

Oh wow, when you were eating all those spoiled fish, I was watching your water go down to 1%! If you'd eaten that last rotten hoverfish that would have been - not good.. Anyway the game has enough near death experiences. Oh man that was close! Lol!! There's lots of stuff to scan and find in the Aurora, like those Prawnsuits in the Prawnbay. There's also a Storage Module for your Seamoth in the Prawnbay but you'll need more fire extinguishers to get at it. So far those are the only things you've missed. Making great progress Captain Mike, got the diamonds for the lasercutter! Excellent! I don't mean to backseat game you but we need to talk... Umm, did you throw away your Seaglide because the battery was dead? You can just replace the battery in your devices like the Seaglide, lasercutter, flashlight, etc. When you made the lasercutter, you could have taken the dead battery out of your Seaglide and used that one. The game doesn't care if the battery is dead, it magically gets recharged when you fabricate a new item that requires a battery. Now that you've made the higher capacity airtank, you probably don't need to carry the extra ones, you're not using them anyway and they take-up a lot of space. When you start exploring some of the large wrecks, that's when you'll need the extra airtanks, but you've got the Seamoth now to refill your air. I'm loving your playthrough, take care.

Yeah, Lasercutter! I knew you'd find it eventually. Those towers in the red grass zones, they are an excellent source of sandstone and that's where you'll find the silver deposits that you need. Diamonds can be found deep, below 200 meters in Shale deposits. The Subnautica wiki told you about the caves on the "rocky" island (as opposed to the floating island) where you can get shale in the caves, that's where the Sunbeam rescue ship was going to land. The game takes the beacon away after the Sunbeam is destroyed so here's how to find it again- From the top of your lifepod, look at the Aurora and then scan the horizon to the left and you'll see a suspicious cloud. That is the "rocky island" that the wiki was referring to. You were actually right next to the island in this episode... So close! Lol I'm enjoying the journey, see you next time Captain Mike, bon voyage!

Doing great, making progress I see, staying hydrated lol... You should be able to find that last lasercutter fragment in the red grass areas. You can also find them inside those smaller wreck sites, like the one that's close to your lifepod by that volcano vent. Oh, one thing I have to mention is how lucky you are! You've came out of the Aurora wreckage in your Seamoth with your lights on and I thought that angry Reaper was going to grab you for sure. They hate the lights on your vehicle, and by "they" I mean all of them from the Stalkers and Sandsharks to the bigger, more lethal Leviathans. Loving your playthrough! I wish the episodes were longer but you can't have everything...😊

Hey Mike, lol, you were looking at the wrong location buddy. You confused the Aurora (your ship) rendezvous point with the Sunbeam (the rescue ship) landing site... You missed out on a lot, I'd even recommend watching a video where another player actually goes to the Sunbeam landing site just to see all that you missed. The game takes away the special beacon for the Sunbeam landing site after it's destroyed so you won't be able to find it now. Hint, look for any strange clouds on the horizon that might be hiding another island. And lastly, you can replace the battery in your Seaglide instead of making a whole new one. The game doesn't give you the prompt to replace the battery until the battery dies, so there's no way you could have known... Really enjoying your playthrough, stay hydrated!

You are lucky, that big creature out there in front of the Aurora can crush your Seamoth and kill you quick! You dodged it somehow, but those of us who've played the game, we know how much danger you were really in, lol. I thought for sure you were dead, what relief! That thing is called a Reaper Leviathan and it especially hates the lights on your Seamoth, as do most of the other things that dwell in the deep. That roar you heard was it's way of trying to find you by echo-location or sonar. When you hear that sound, take heed Captain! I'm loving your playthrough and looking forward to the next episode!

Wow, 180Gs! Lol... How big are these COD games going to get?!? As far as Subnautica and your hunt for lithium, there's some in the mushroom forest by the Emissary's lifepod, #17 I think. There's also some in the Jellyshroom caves that you explored a little bit, it's the huge cave with pink mushrooms. The thing is, those ultraglide fins that you want to make can only be made from the Modification Station and you haven't found the plans for the Modification Station, so even if you find the lithium, you can't build them yet. It's no big deal but just to let you know, you didn't need to make two sets of fins. When you're ready to make the upgraded fins, you can just take the ones you've been using off, and they go back in your personal inventory to be used at the Modification Station. You're so close to getting the Seamoth plans and the laser cutter, just one more scan I think? I'm enjoying your journey and purposely NOT backseating, lol. I love this game, like everyone else who's played it. Take care Captain, stay hydrated!

Doing great Grumpa, you are moving right along! That multi-airtank strategy takes up a lot of room in the inventory, but it's totally necessary, unfortunately... The Alterra Corporation has all this great space technology, fabricators, phase gates that enable "faster than light" travel... but the airtank technology is kinda wonky, but I still love it. Lol. Real diving is a pain, what with decompression and the bends, not to mention the certifications and the chaffing from the wet suit... No thanks! 😅 The PDA gave you a message way back in episode one that your data base was "corrupted", hence all the scanning. You have things well in hand, everything looks ship-shape to me, we're really enjoying your playthrough and looking forward to the next episode.

As someone who knows the game, watching you swim in back of the Aurora, I was so scared for you. Lol. It would have been a spoiler for me to warn you about him, but you handled it like a pro... Whenever you hear the distant roar, beware! That big scary fish is called the Reaper Leviathan and somehow, he didn't kill you. Well, despite the game crashing, you're making good progress and it looks great here on UA-cam. At least you got to see the Aurora drive core blow up... meh You have the basics locked down now, food and water are no problem and I'm just enjoying your playthrough. I've promised to give you spoiler free advice and right now you're doing great. Cooked fish go bad pretty quickly so you'll want to eat them right away. If you accidentally eat a rotten fish at the wrong time (like when your health, food or water is low) it could kill you. Cured fish are good for "on the go" food and you're collecting salt so, no problem there. That Gravity trap is a pretty cool, and it beats chasing fish around when your hungry. Ah, yes, the sulfur is the trickiest resource to find for the beginner. 😄

Subnautica is a great game but you do have to save, often. There are no auto-saves unfortunately. You asked for tips, so spoiler free tips you shall receive! To find the rocks that contain lead you'll have to go deeper into the caves, but it's dark down there and you have no light. You're carrying a flare and if you activate it your character will throw the flare. You can then retrieve the lit flare which provides an excellent light source and it will last forever. Somehow your character is able to magically put a lit flare back into the inventory without burning a hole in your wetsuit. Don't ask me how that works, lol. You could also build the flashlight from the fabricator, you've got all the stuff. Sorry about your computer crashing, what a bummer, hopefully you didn't lose too much progress. Save often, stay hydrated and we'll see you in the next episode.

I just love it when I get to watch someone experience this masterpiece. Between Half-Life 2 and Subnautica, it's a tie for all-time favorite.... well, Halo is up there too. No spoilers from me ever, but just to let you know, you can swim faster if you don't have a tool in your hand and are using both hands to swim, which makes sense.
